TTC a Rainbow Sibling Check-In (July 31)

Ladies from now on I will be handling this check-in for @bookishmomma, who did a kick-@ss job handling it! I will try my best to respond to everyone when I get a chance. If any info below is incorrect please let me know, especially ages of LOs as I don’t have birth dates saved anywhere.

Welcome to the TTC a Rainbow Sibling check-in. This check-in is for TTCAL-ers with living children to talk about the issues about TTCAL while you have a living child. Living children and pictures of living children are welcome here, however if your pictured child is an infant (< a year old), please do place a warning at the beginning of your post to alert ladies who are having a hard day. You do not have to be active on the PAL board in order to be a member of this check-in, however, if you plan on posting on the main board please post an intro there.

All are welcome to join us! Please give us an intro with the following information if you wish: name(s)/age(s) of your child(ren), EDD(s) and where you are in your TTC journey.

Not much happening here. Just waiting for CD1 so I can schedule my surgery and get that over with.

QOTW: I really want to get up to my parents' lake cottage. It's a 4-hour drive, but we need to make it happen!

Hey lady! Thanks for taking over! We'll miss you @BookishMomma‌, but can't wait to hear your updates.

AFM- I had my appt on Monday to scan for follies. I had three! 18,20 and 22mm. The dr triggered me and now I guess I'm officially in my 2ww!

I guess we shall see what happens!

AFM: I had a nice relaxing time up on the lake last week. I came back to a friend outing for my BFF's birthday where my feelings of isolation seemed to hit me at once.

My two BFFs have older children who can do things Harley can't yet, so I keep getting excluded (mind you it's not intentional). I finally had a break down and talked with my one BFF on the phone and hashed my feelings out and then I dropped my mc bombshell on her. She is supposed to come over to talk more tonight, so I hope I can get more of my feelings out and get back to feeling better about our friendship.

My other BFF and I talked over text and she understands and wants to hang out more. She leaves on vacay tomorrow so I did not tell her about my mc so she is not worried about me while she is gone.

Other than that I am waiting for the weekend when we will hold my FIL's annual memorial softball game and we will get to see all the family again.

QOTW: I just want to get to the pool more. We've had a busy summer and have only gone a handful of times. We finally have time to go and the weather is hardly swimming weather!

Hello ladies!
I'm in the TWW...for some reason I'm not feeling overly optimistic this cycle. No real reason, just a feeling. By this time next week I should know for sure though!

QOTW- I wanna go on vacation! We are taking a mini four day trip to a lake and are leaving this weekend. I can't wait, it's our first trip as a family of 3!

AFM: I had my appointment with an RE and it went great! He listened to my concerns and understood why I was there. We talked about my losses, the medical issues that happened during/were created by them, and then talked about possible treatment plans.

So our current plan of action:
Call on CD1 for bloodwork on CD3
Schedule an HSG between CD6 & 10
Get DH to do a semen analysis
Then based on those things we can decide what is the best next step for us.

So I'm currently 6 dpo, so if we aren't KU this cycle we can start all of this soon.

QOTW: I've been wanting to do some tie dying! I got a couple white shirts for DS today, 1 long and one short for this, but I need to get something for myself before I can do it!

Not much going on here. Just got back from a nice family beach vaca. The job I was going for didn't pan out so full steam ahead with TTC.

QOTW: I want to have some more nice beach days and maybe a take one more trip before the summer weather leaves

On CD 8 here. Thankfully my MIL who has been living with us since late June wil be staying at my SIL's empty house while they are on vaca all next week...just in time for my expected ovulation. Otherwise pretty sure ttc would have been a no-go with her here. I already have a very very faint line on my wondfos, so I think timing will work out perfectly for next week.
My summer has been pretty fun so far. Want to take my son to the zoo, and will be doing that Sunday. Other than that, I am thinking of taking him to NYC for a day trip....maybe a trip to Central Park and FAO Schwartz. It will be his first time in a big city...he will be mesmerized!

I hope your timing works out great! I can't imagine how uncomfortable it would be to try to BD with one of you mothers in the house!

FX timing was good enough! I hope you enjoy the lake. Take bug spray! I ended up with 15 mosquito bites from our trip last week and all but 4 were on my feet!

I'm glad you had a good experience with you RE and that you know what steps need taken! I love tie dyed things, but never considered trying to do it myself. I hope you enjoy it!

I'd like to join the check in. I meant to post to last week's.

I have a 3yo DD, she will be 4 in September. We lost our second child, Nathaniel, at birth on 2/6/14. He was 39 1/2 weeks. I had to have an emergency c section with Nathaniel so we were told to wait for 6 months for me to heal before TTC. That waiting period was just up at the beginning of last week so we are TTC now.

The timing worked out perfectly for us to possibly get pregnant this cycle. I ovulated last week so now we are in a 2ww. I seem to have all the symptoms. Hopefully it's not all in my head.

QOTW I want to go camping. We haven't gone at all this year, but since our summer does not revolve around school calendars we can still go for at least another 2 months. We just need to get some trips planned.

We are actually going next week. Next Wednesday will be 6 months since Nathaniel died. We try to do something fun on the 6th of every month to help he day be a little less sad. Since DH has a lot of vacation for the year to use still we decided to go camping for a few days in the middle of the week. It should be fun.

dadalou I'm so sorry about the loss of Nathaniel. Welcome. Camping sounds fun! enjoy and FX for you this cycle.

I'm CD3 so I've got an ultrasound scheduled for next week. MY EDD for loss 1 is this weekend, and I'm already feeling raw. I ended up in tears this morning, because the infant teacher at DS's daycare asked me about not having another baby. I said not yet and tried to walk away, but she wouldn't let it go. So frustrating I almost posted a fb rant telling people to keep their traps shut, but I restrained myself.

QOTW: I'd like to have brunch with some friends and sit out on a patio and drink mimosas. Need to get on that.

SO sorry I am late to the check-in and can't write personal responses to everyone!

AFM: I am taking my last "active" birth control pill this morning and have my baseline appointment tomorrow morning. I can't believe it's the first week of August already and I'm about to start IVF. I am really enjoying my summer with my girls but I'll find my mind drifting off to best case and worst case scenarios when I'm not paying attention.

I'm waiting for AF. We scored pretty high on the BD scale for last month but I had a couple of spots yesterday when wiping and and again this morning. I actually put in a tampon yesterday thinking a full on period was starting but it came out with only a spot. I've never had implantation bleeding (at least not prior to a BFP) so I'm pretty confident it's AF. My cycles have been a little wacky since my D&C in April. I hate being in limbo, I just want her to come if she's going to come.

QOTW: I need to make it to The State Fair. Yummy fair food!!
