Pajama "Uniforms"

So I was thinking of buying 5 pairs of the same pajamas for each kid.  Seems like an easy way to stay organized and know exactly which pajamas are which since we will have two little ones (19 months apart) vs having many pairs of mismatched pajamas.  Friends think this is a super weird idea.  Am I crazy or "no fun"?

Re: Pajama "Uniforms"

  • I agree with PP. But if you're concerned about the uniform aspect, what about assigning a color or range of colors to each kids. That way they have variety, but if it's blue vs brown you know whose it is.

  • I did this with socks. Ordered 15 pair of the same kind. Much easier to match them up and nbd if one goes astray.

  • My mom always did colors with us. Not always the same one but always the same color. But there isn't anything wrong with it. You have to do what works best for you not others
  • I think it's fine.  I can't say though that I have ever put that much thought into PJs before so maybe that's what your friends think is odd?

My DD regulalry wears mismatched PJs.  She's OK with it.

  • I just let my son sleep in a tshirt and underwear. In the winter he sleeps in fleece Christmas pajamas I buy for about a dollar each the January before. It works.
