I think it's 70, but I only get them 3-4x a year.
Color is another story though. I spend too much but she does such a great job. Every time I go to a cheaper place, it comes out terrible.
I voted SS. My mom used to be a hairdresser. She will occasionally cut my hair if I just want a trim. The stylist I normally go to is a family friend. She charges $50 for normal clients but charges me $25.
I was raised always paying $50 for a haircut and style. I go to a friend here (who is wonderful!) who charges me less than her going price but I tip to the $50.
My cuts are $45, but I only get a cut twice a year. I pay $75 for partial highlights every 6 weeks though.
If you highlight your hair so often, how can you only get it cut twice a year? Lucky Pepper, with your magic hair. Mine always got fried so fast.
I pay about $45 and go to a non-tipping salon. They get commission off of products they sell you though, so I always buy a product or two each time I go. Speaking of, I need to make an appointment...
She only colors the roots, so my ends don't get reprocessed each time. Keeps them pretty healthy. I could still probably stand to get it cut a little more often, but it doesn't look too bad, so I hold out.
I was torn between picking free/diy and SS... My MIL is a retired hairdresser and will happily cut my hair for free, but they live 2 hours away and we don't see them that often. I get my hair cut maybe once a year. It's terribly dry and full of split ends.
