Officially past my due date! Update!

Due date was yesterday and still no baby! Whoever told me second babies come sooner lied! Good news is the Dr said he's still happy and I'm healthy so there is no rush on an induction. We did schedule one for next week on August 5 though. I had my membranes stripped yesterday and though I'm having contractions they aren't consistent. I had some brown mucus spotting after, but it has since turned red and is still happening. Is that normal?

Oh and today's my birthday and I really wanted baby to come today, but he wants his own day apparently!

**Update**Contractions are getting stronger and are about 10 minutes apart! Here's hoping they continue!

i heard brown spotting is normal...also red blood can be bloody show but Idk if it really makes a difference or if it's good or bad...sorry

I believe it is unless it is enoigh blood to fill a pad, dosn't hurt to call and ask though if you are concerned.

Brown spotting and cramping after stripping is totally normal. Bloody mucous is also normal. Bright red bleeding is not. Hope that being stripped will get things going for you! It took a few days for active labor to kick in, but it definitely helped me go with both of my kids!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! Though things looked promising for a while the contractions are slowing now. I'm going to try and get some sleep and hope things pick up in the morning.
