Worse nausea at 10 weeks?!

Hey, mamas!

So, I really thought I was one of the lucky ones. I had lots of food aversions and waves of some nausea, but I felt pretty good. All of a sudden around 10 weeks (I'm now 10w4d), each morning it's basically a half hour or hour of feeling on the verge of sickness. I still haven't actually gotten sick, but I'm definitely more nauseous throughout the day than I was before.

Has this happened to anyone else?! Please tell me it ends after first tri. I totally thought I was almost out of the woods for feeling crappy!

Re: Worse nausea at 10 weeks?!

  • I got sick around 9 weeks and was never sick before. I guess it happens.

I'm 12 weeks today and puked for the 1st time. I thought I was in the clear....apparently not!
  • My doctor said that MS can actually peak around 9-10 weeks. I don't know, I feel better now than I did...but it could totally come roaring back. Who knows.
Same. My doc said to expect the worst b/w weeks 8-10

I barfed last night at 10 weeks. I've only barfed once a week for the past 4 weeks.
  • I'm ten weeks & my morning sickness had been pretty okay up until now. I've thrown up or dry heaved almost every day! You are not the only one!
  • I'm 9+4 and it's definitely been its worst the last few days......

  • Ten weeks here and I feel the worst I have felt this week. I have had to have my mom come and pick up my daughter twice this week because I was too sick to move from the couch all day. I've heard that 10 weeks is usually the hardest time and this is around when I got mild MS with DD, but nothing like this. FX it goes away soon, I can't take this much longer!

  • My week 10 was the worst. Never threw up, but was nauseated and exhausted all. day. long. Headaches, cramps, just blah. Just suffered from severe fatigue before week 10. I'm halfway through week 11 now and feeling SO MUCH better (shall I say, almost back to myself?! no let's not jinx it).
  • Mine has been more intense as well. If it gets to bad ask about Zofran. I got some when I was in the ER Monday and it is a gift from heaven!!!! Doc gave me a script and it works amazingly.

  • I am week 10 and this is the worst I have had it too. I thought I was so lucky. I threw up on Monday and have been nauseous with lots of stomach issues all week. I have also been crying constantly... I teared up at zumba yesterday because I loved the song so much! So, long story short. I feel you, you are not alone.
  • I'm entering week 12 but my weeks 10/11 where the worst, all of a sudden I went from minimal ms to horrible ms at night where I have to sleep sitting up or else I gag all night.
  • I turn 10 weeks tomorrow and today was my best day in a while! I'm hoping it's over. Hopefully it's just a couple days of feeling crappy for you!
  • 9-12 weeks was awful for me. I'm 13 tomorrow and today is the first time I haven't needed a handful of peppermints to make it through the day. It gets worse before it gets better!

  • Thank you for sharing all of your experiences! I end up having to lie down on the couch for half an hour after getting up/before going to work just to feel somewhat okay. It's terrible! I am glad I'm not alone but so wish you weren't all going through the same thing. We'll be better soon!
  • I was same way and started at 12 weeks! It's been awful and had to finally request Zofran after 4 days since I'm home alone with 2 toddlers all day. Today went so much better!

Mine was totally worse for week 10. It was the only week since being preggo that I skipped some of my workouts (throwing up in your mouth at the gym is disgusting).
  • MS was really bad at 9 weeks--couldn't keep a thing down for days, with a 12 lb weight loss. Things then got better for week 10 and most of 11. But on the tail end of 11 we are back at it again, now with a giant headache and I can't keep tylonol down. I've stayed home from work now for the past 2 days. Are the MS pills worth it?
I'm just so sick of vomiting!!
  • I had terrible MS drom about 7 to 11 weeks. Then last week I felt pretty good all week. No vomiting, only slight twinges of nausea every now and again, but nothing to keep me from eating a full meal. And then Sunday morning, BAM! my Zofran decided to stop working. I vomited 4 times on Sunday and then 7 or 8 times yesterday (about.every 30 - 45 minutes throughout the day) and the Zofran still wasn't working. So after I got home from work, I took another Zofran along with a B complex vitamin which took the edge off considerably. Then right before bed, I took a unisom and this morning, I woke up feeling like a million bucks. The key is trying different things when what WAS working is no longer doing the trick on its own and getting lots of sleep. Lately, I was only getting about 8-9 hours per night, but last night I got close to 12 and maybe that had something to do with it as well. Just remember to drink plenty of ginger tea, or ginger ale, get lots of rest and try eating super bland foods for a while. There were some nights I could only stomach plain rice. This will pass soon. Also, try the preggie pop drops! They do wonders for my nausea when half a Zofran wasn't completely cutting it. You can find them for cheap on Amazon! Good luck!

  • So glad I'm not alone. I was good and didn't even feel any symptoms up until this week -week 10 -and now I have nausea off and on all day. it's worse in the morning to the point where I feel like I could throw up ,so far I have not actually thrown up (knock on wood) ... But I look like death. Fun times... Anyone heard any wives tales on morning sickness? If you have it does it mean one sex versus the other?
  • I've had some nausea for a few weeks now, but mine has also gotten worse. I'm 10 weeks 2 days and threw up for the first time this morning.

Supposedly if you have ANY morning sickness, then you're having a girl. Boys are supposedly symptom free pregnancies. But I know with my uncle's wife, that wasn't the case for either of their two kids. They had a girl first, and she was relatively symptom free, but with their son, she was super sick. My aunt just had her first baby, she had severe HG her entire first trimester, and then had a healthy baby girl. So its six to one and a half dozen the other.

  • I'm 10 weeks 5 days and my morning sickness has deff been the worst this week. Nauseous all day, even when I eat I just feel like my foods sits there in my stomach. Still no vomiting this time around (thank God, threw up everyday day with other two kids) but I'm deff over feeling like death. Really hoping there's a light at the end of this tunnel.
  • I've been completely sick and vomiting since 7 weeks.... I'm now 11+4 sometimes I can't keep anything down for days. I'm really hoping it stops soon. But I also heard that if you do have ms, it decreases your chances of an unhealthy pregnancy!
