How often do you change membranes?

I've been pumping just once (sometimes twice) a day since DD was 2 weeks old (now 12 weeks). I've changed membranes once already due to a split in one, that was about a month ago. I haven't noticed a decrease in output, but I also have OS and have always responded very well to the pump. So do I wait to change them until I notice some kind of difference, or should they be changed after a certain number of uses?

I changed them every couple of months, or if i noticed one was looking worn. You might see a drop in pumping output if the membranes are wearing out, so that's another signal to change them.

i changed them every month and was pumping 4 times a day!

I pump 3x a day, and I change them every 6 weeks.

I ended up losing one every few weeks, so a lot. They fall down the drain a lot and then the disposal gets turned on before I notice.
