I started to notice a rash on Finnegan today around 2pm. It was only on his arms and legs. By 6pm it had worsened and spread to his neck, stomach, back, butt, and hands. I called the pediatrician and they saw us immediately. The Dr. couldn't give a definitive answer on what she thought it was. She said overall Finn looked like he was in good health and not bothered by the rash. However, she was debating whether or not to send us to ER for blood work and to rule out things. We decided that it would ease my mind and it would be good to have professionals watch him over night. She said she doesn't think his health is in danger but thinks it could be something viral. That being said, we are now heading to DuPont Children's Hospital.
My nerves are shot!!
I included pictures of the rash that I took while changing his diaper.
UPDATE: The doctors at duPont Children's Hospital don't know what the rash is either. They said it doesn't look life-threatening and it could be viral. They said it could be the start of something viral, but they wouldn't treat for that anyway but gave us a warning that it could get worse before it gets better. They didn't seem concerned at all, so I guess I shouldn't be either. However, it is my baby and I'm going to worry. The doctors suggested to let the rash run its course and just be on the look out for fevers and diarrhea. They said I can give him an Aveeno bath but don't give him Benadryl topical or oral.
Thank you for all the thoughts, prayers, and hugs. Here's to hoping it disappears in a couple of days.

He handled being poked and examined like a big boy. He would occasionally laugh and smile at the nurses and doctors, but he didn't want me to put him down.
Again, thank you all!!
