Hi ladies,
So, as a lot of you know, I was deciding between scrapping my 8 follie cycle and converting to IVF. After reading all your advice, I realized that I had already come this far and might as well do IVF since that was our next step anyways.
Anyway, had my ER yesterday (okay experience during, but then I went home and threw up for about 12 hours) and they called me with the fert report today.
The retrieved 19 eggs (!!! no wonder I felt like a beached whale the last few days) and 13 of them fertilized.
I should be ecstatic except I feel like TOTAL crap today. I look like I'm about five months pregnant, it hurts so bad to walk, hurts to move, hurts to eat...etc
I think I probably have some OHSS to blame for this, but when I called my RE's office, the IVF nurse told me to just take it easy and drink lots of fluids and that I'll probably still have my transfer on Thursday or Saturday, depending how the embies are doing.
Has anyone had experience with OHSS or such bad pain after ER? I could really use some insight since I'm so miserable! :-/

    Yay, that's wonderful news!! Fx they all continue to grow nice and healthy!
    I've felt the same after my ERs. Gatorade/Powerade Zero and lots of protein really helped. Stay away from carbs in you can. Salty foods also help.

    Just for an estimate, how long did you feel awful? Did it go away before ET?
    Megdowntheshore, did it go away before the transfer? I just heard that transfer can make it worse so would be nice to know if people have it resolve before then... Thanks for the advice!

    DX: FVL, endo, hypothyroidism, blocked left tube

    Oct. 2014: First treatment cycle: Clomid+trigger+IUI=BFN

    November 2014: Clomid+trigger+IUI again=BFP!

    BFP 11/28/14 MC discovered 1/14/15

    I'm sorry for the OHSS but so glad you have such a great report.  It definitely looks like you made the right call to convert to IVF.

    Megdowntheshore; They said that the transfer will be either Thursday or Saturday. Thursday if there's a leader of the pack of the embryos, and Saturday if they all look decent on Thursday and will let them grow a couple extra days to see if a leader emerges. I'm so sorry your transfer was cancelled. ((hugs))

    @MSU_Girl1202- The first time I was still somewhat bloated on day 6, but I hadn't done much of what I suggested. The second and third time (when my E2 levels were higher), I felt better within 3 or 4 days.

    Edit: Guzzle down the gatorade/powerade zero like it's your job... seriously. Make sure it's the "Zero" for no sugar.

    All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal

    Megdowntheshore: Will keep my FX for your follies too! I would love it if we were transfer buddies, but kind of hoping that mine hold off until Saturday...my body just isn't very happy with me right now, so I wouldn't mind having an extra couple days to recover.

    I'm sorry you feel like hell. Everyone I know that has had OHSS swears by Gatorade. I hope you feel better soon. Congrats on the amazing fert report! Grow little embies!!!!

       Me: IR-PCOS, elevated DHEAs, low progesterone, weak ovulation  DH: low volume, low T
    SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.
    BFP#1 7/20/13 EDD 3/30/14, m/c 8/19/13, D&E 8/21/13, Chromosomal results = normal, female

    @PetraStonegirl‌ : Thanks lady! I'm planning on calling the ivf nurse again today since the pain kept me up most of the night again , I'm still super bloated and I've gained 6lbs since the ER Monday. Really hoping it resolves soon so I could still do a fresh cycle :-/

    08/2011: Clomid 50mg, IUI --> BFN  ,
    10/2011: Clomid 100mg, IUI --> BFN
    04/13: Clomid, IUI BFP --> MC at 6w1d
    05/13: Femara 2.5mg, IUI --> BFN  , 08/13: Femara 2.5mg --> BFN
    03/14: Femara 5mg, IUI --> 1 follicle @ 27d --> BFP! EDD 12/02/14--> blighted ovum, missed MC 6w6d --> D&C
    4/23: D&C...starting over again, with a little part of my heart broken off
    5/31: Femara 7.5mg --> cancelled cycle, no follies
    7/14: Femara 5mg + brevelle + menopur + IUI --> converted to IVF, ER 7/28 --> ET cancelled due to severe OHSS.
    9/20/14:  Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFP--> EDD 6/6/15 --> MC at 5w3d      
    10/16/14: Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFN
    2/6/15: Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFP --> MC at 5w4d
    3/20/16: PGS-tested Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFP, Living Child born 12/1/15
    6/6/17: Fresh IVF Cycle --> Severe OHSS, 5 PGS-tested embryos frozen
    2/23/18: PGS-tested FET --> BFN
    3/30/18: Cancelled cycle due to lining 4.2mm
    6/21/18: PGS-tested FET --> BFN
