Basal Temperature

Hey ladies!

So my H and I have been TTC for just 2 months now. I started my period today and I couldn't help but be a little disappointed. I know we haven't been trying that long but  I started looking in to better ways to track my cycle and I keep reading about basal temperature. Is this a thermometor of sorts that I can just buy at a pharmacy? I feel like an unprepared moron asking these questions but I literally had no idea that you could take your  temp to track ovulation!

Any insight would be super helpful!!!

Thanks Mamas (current and future)

Re: Basal Temperature

  • Yes, you can buy a basal thermometer at the drugstore. Look near the condoms and pg tests. Visit fertilityfriend.com and do their tutorials to learn how to track. It's very simple.

  • The Wal-mart basal thermometer is one of the better ones. It used to be Mabis brand, now it's Reli-on I believe.
