Newbie intro!!

Hi ladies. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi!!. I will have been married to my husband for 2 years in August but we have been together for 6 years. We have a son who just turned 1 at the end of June and we have decided now would be a good time to try for our second child. I am getting my iud removed next so we will start trying within the month. Dh says he doesn't want me charting bc he said it took all the fun out of baby making so I guess we will be winging it this time! I know a lot of you ladies are charting and such but is there anyone else just winging it?

Welcome and good luck. I was "winging it" for 13 cycles. I started temping/charting this cycle and actually feel less stressed about timing than before. Also, H doesn't even notice that I temp because he can sleep through anything and I don't really talk to him much about my cycle or timing. I only give him the information he asks for.

I honestly don't think I could do this without charting now that I have been doing it. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of it for me and it makes it a lot less stressful to me. But that's just me. Maybe you could chart but just not show that info to YH?

I think the "fun" part of baby making is the sex. And I don't really see how charting prevents you from having fun sex. Does he also like when you blindfold him and make him guess where you are before having sex? Because being able to see where he's sticking his penis must take all the fun out of it for him.

Welcome! I am getting my IUD out next week too and will be temping/charting and already have been (not nearly as regularly as I should). DH doesn't realize I temp because he is either already up or sleeps through it. Playing the guessing game would make me insane…and I promised him I wouldn't be baby making crazy….maybe a slight fib.

Hahaha you ladies are hilarious @14whitney‌ and @BillyHorrible‌ yalls comment made me laugh soo hard. I guess I will chart and temp without him knowing!! And it's probably bc last time I ran to him screaming "I'm ovulating..get naked!!"

I'm new on here as well! I just got my IUD out today so my journey to have a baby starts soon!! I have one son, he is 10yrs old so I'll be starting all over. In excited and scared all at the same time!!

Welcome! If you are interested in charting and temping, then I would encourage you to do it. You'll have more control over your timing even if you don't mention ovulation to YH. My husband doesn't want to hear about temping or ovulation, so I get it.

Welcome! I had my iud our in April, and my ov said to wait 2 cycles. If your ob doesnt mention it, you may want to ask when you can try after removal. Fwiw, my first two af's were lighter, so its taken my body a bit to work itself out. And my cycle has changed post mirena. I am charting so know whats going on. It would be driving me nuts if I didn't know, so i also recommend charting as well.
