So ready for it to be over with!

I'm due on Aug 24th but I have had a gut feeling that she'll come early! So, with the baby dropping and the symptoms that I've been going through are on target. Still on a gage of 1-10 the whole pregnancy I've felt like 3 but now discomfort is like a 5-6!

You can tell that the baby has dropped big time. The top 3rd of my tummy is soft, I'm not as big, boobs not resting on tummy and hip pain. I'm having small but spiking pain headaches when laying down to sleep. Somewhat presser on my chest also when I lay down, she is super active too when I lay down and I get lighting crotch during that time. Some contraction like feelings, cramps and just plain discomfort no matter if I'm laying down or up about!

I'm guessing this is all normal but just making sure.

  • Yeah, true but just started feeling like is on Saturday last week. Oh, well I guess I should be happy it didn't start at week 32 lol
  • I'm due 8/20 and I too JUST started feeling "over it" for the first time. Bed means hip and back pain. Up 5-6 times a night to pee. Lightening crouch. I havnt felt contractions but 1cm.
  • I've had hard core false labor - contractions that literally do nothing for going on 2 weeks. Today I am so frustraited with being pregnant i finally irrationally ugly cried over it. I have a month left.

  • @lookame3639‌ Sorry that you feel so frustrate. Just remember how wonderful it will be once you get to hold your LO. :)
  • Just 38 weeks today. I was surprised when the feeling of wanting to evict the baby hit me around 37 weeks. It's really like time slows down and any little change in your body feels like "this is it!"

Anyways, at the doc the other day she said they would check my cervix for the first time next week and discuss the idea of inducing at the 41 week appointment. Really makes me think I might be in it for the long haul! She acted like it was really common to have that 41 week talk (which I would prefer to avoid and hope baby is already here!)

  • Yep, I have been there for a while now. It's all good becuase I thik the discomfort we go through leading up to labor makes us less scared in the long run, we are so ready to ahve the baby out by the end that we won't be as nervous when the time comes. Hang in there!

  • I'm due Aug 25th and have had the "over it" feeling pretty consistently for the past 2 weeks or so. Prior to that I had good days and bad days for a few weeks. I miss the week 13-28 time lol
I was checked last week (at 35w appt) and was told I was 'closed up like a clam' down there lol But I also know that really means nothing because you can be 2cm for weeks or go from 0 to 4 in a day. I don't think I've dropped yet. At my appt yesterday, the dr agreed that right now it doesn't appear that I have, although the baby has been head down since about 28 weeks. I have A LOT of lightening crouch, and its definitely increasing. Bedtime = misery time. Everything just hurts as soon as I lay down.....hips, ribs, belly gets suuuuper tight, I'm up almost every hr to pee---and sometimes its like a drop which REALLY pissed me off!

This whole time I've been so terrified of labor and delivery, but at this point I would take this kid out with a fork if I could!

Have I mentioned I'm in the "over it" phase?

I'm so there. I was definitely to this point with my other two - but this time around the aches and pains are so much worse. I can hardly walk, I have to get up every 1.5 hours at night to pee. Last night DH was tossing and turning and complaining he couldn't sleep (wtf?) and that made it even worse. When I get up from lying down it is like bringing a corpse out of rigamortis. So unbelievably done. I was dilated 2cm at my last appointment and both of my others came 1-2 weeks early but honestly, even one more day at this point is depressing. Not to mention DD's second birthday party is Saturday and I'll have roughly 20 adults and 15 children running around our house. I'm not sure what I was thinking. I sobbed in my car for 15 minutes yesterday because someone took the close parking space at the grocery store. GET IT OUT!!!

  • I'm right there with you all! 38+3 and I've been 1.5 cm, 80% effaced, head at 0 for the past three weeks. Rather than having the 41 week induction convo, my midwife made it sound like there was no way I'd be pregnant in August. We scrambled to get everything done for LOs arrival, and now I'm sitting around daydreaming about my water breaking (which I know is highly unlikely). Trying to be patient, but it definitely isn't my strong suit. Hang in there, ladies- we will see our babies' faces and it will all be worth it!
