First OB appointment?

Hey mamas! I'm a first-timer, about 7 weeks along and anxiously awaiting my first OB appointment. It's not scheduled for another 3 weeks! It seems really late to me. Just wondering when you all had your first appointments and what I should expect. Thank you!

    I know how u feel mines it about a week in half away and it's killing me also.

    Ugh. My dr. Is on maternity leave so I don't get to go in until 12 weeks which is the end of august. I can't wait though! We should get a fun ultrasound!

    I'm not scheduled until 12 weeks... the wait is long, but at least it will be an eventful appointment - ultrasound, hearing the heart beat etc.!!!

    I had a phone appointment scheduled for last week but they randomly canceled it and it's now rescheduled for tomorrow. At my hospital you have to do that prior to the in person appointment. After that I should have my first official appointment but I won't feel good until it's scheduled! Plus I need to do certain days after 4 so it doesn't interrupt my husband or my jobs too much. Who knows when we'll see this kid!

    My first was at 10 weeks with DD. This one they got me in at 8w 2d but now I'm panicked because they couldn't locate a heartbeat. Still having pregnancy symptoms but now I'm an emotional wreck. Honestly I'd of rather gone in later and not had to deal with being a basket case waiting for the next ultrasound to roll around. Anywhere between 8-12 weeks is fairly common.

    DH & I are both 28    Together: 12 years    Married: 09/24/2011

    BFP#1: January '12 - DD1 09/16/2012

    Preterm labor 31 weeks. Monitored for Hellp and diagnosed with oligohydramnios July '12

    BFP #2: 06/25 - EDD 03/05/15 MMC confirmed 8/1 - D&E 8/4 retained tissue discovered 8/20

    BFP #3 11/24 - 12/15 Heartbeat detected - DD2 07/29/15

    My first appt was at 8 weeks. My doctor likes to have a dating u/s scheduled around that time, so I got my script to have that done. I'm jealous of all the ladies whose doctors do ultrasounds in office. I have to make an appt through the hospital.

    My first appointment will be 8 weeks as well. They'll do an ultrasound and have me fill out lots of paperwork about family history and I'll probably go have blood drawn as well.
