Labor vibes please...update

Update...Everything fizzled at about 8pm. However I lost more of my MP, had a good nights rest, an we had a zoo tripped planned with scouts so the walking will help. Everything for baby is in the car just in case. Yesterday was sucky though, the nurse felt bad when the contractions were a min a part and not doing anything.

I am sitting here in labor and delivery with contractions 2/3 min apart. Sitting at 2.5/3 cm. I started having timetable contractions about 130 am but cervix has not changed since 730.

They have given pain meds and waiting to see what happens. They won't help things along but won't stop them either. I am in pain and hoping something happens. They won't let me go with them this close.

Can I get some labor vibes to start thing movig along

Why won't they help it along! That sounds miserable. Sending labor vibes! Fwiw, sometimes the pain meds do help. With my second, I was induced and stuck at 3cm for several hours. The pit made the contractions miserable so I got the epidural and I went from 3 to 9.5 in am hour and a half.

Walk it out! I was like that with dd#2. Went in At 2cm after labor at home for 15 hours. Walked the halls and that kept things progressing. Hang in there! Good luck!

The nurse said since I am shy of 37 1/2 weeks they can't let me walk. They can release me and then I can walk. DH and I are discussing what we are gonna do. The contractions are on top of each other and the pain meds are wearing off

Update. They released my to go eat and walk. I headed over to work to eat and doing some odd and ends here. Gonna go walk around Walmart shortly. Still having contractions.

Sounds like you made a good choice. Hopefully the walking will help things along and the food will give you energy to get through a potentially long night. I hope you meet your baby very soon!

I wonder why not being 37 1/2 weeks matters for whether or not they'll let you walk?

Since my due date was figured out from different ultrasounds and could be off (which could be the same for anyone really) they didn't want to take a chance and have it be off in the earlier direction. Also to cover their asses, which I understand.
