Attacked by my own hair in the shower this morning

I skipped a shower yesterday and had my hair pulled back all day so I was not brushing it/running my fingers through it all day.  So I guess I had some extra hair to lose in the shower this morning.  When I washed it, my hands ended up covered in so much hair it was all tangled like I was being attacked by a small animal.  So I shook it off my hands and because I was all sleep deprived and it was early, I jumped when it hit my toes.

My hair is literally all over the house, to the point that DS asked me the other day how long until I will be bald.  Ah, the joys of motherhood.

  • It's terrible! I she'd worse than the dogs now. I hate it! Poor LO usually has one of my hairs on his outfit or in his mouth... :/ does it ever stop?

I didn't know I could lose this much hair and not be bald. I hate it. Everywhere. Bathroom carpet where I stand to blow my hair out. The couch. The bed. The kitchen floor. Uuuuuuugh.

  • This by far is my worst part of postpartum loveliness!
  • It's bad. LO usually has a hair or two in his diaper. Nasty!

Too bad that doesn't work with curly hair otherwise I would consider it. I am so over the hair falling out.

Yup! It looks like a small furry critter exploded in my shower every time. I promise it does eventually stop...but I can't remember how long it takes.

  • This even happened when I first got off the pill before I got PG last year! I felt like I was seriously going to be bald! Scary!
  • I am shedding like crazy. I have no idea why I'm not bald yet.

  • This morning I found one of my hairs deep inside my babies neck rolls... Hoping it stops falling out soon!!!
  • Just chopped off 7 inches last week in an attempt to have it not fall out as bad. (And so LO doesn't pull it as bad) Well, that failed. Now I just find shorter pieces of hair everywhere. Including in LO's hands and diapers. Ewwww I am over this hair nonsense!

I have tumbleweeds of hair blowing around the house on the wood floors and it collects on everything else. Disgusting. Honestly, it looks like Tribbles have invaded and are multiplying.

Lovetitting for the Tribbles reference :)

  • meee to!  Tried talking to DH about it but he was too concerned with the dishes.  So i went into the bathroom, grabbed all the hair i'd just thrown in the garbage and put it in front of his face like a crazy person and was like "SEE!?!? this is what im dealing with!!!!"  that made him understand my frustration.  ;)

I've been losing hair like crazy for over a month now, doesn't seem to be letting up yet. Not bald (yet), though....

Ditto.  I seriously cannot believe I am not bald with how much hair I have lost.  I can't remember how long this lasted with my DS but I am pretty sure it was at least a few months.

  • Still going strong and LO will be 5 months on the 23rd. It started right at 3 months. I'm scared if it keeps up at this rate!
I've heard it slows/stops around 6 months. I hope, hope, hope that's the case [-O<
  • Months! Oh man.

  • Mine shed so bad with my first that my hair would get caught in the vacuum wheel and burn up the motor. It started up last week but so far hasn't been quite that bad.

  • I have very thick hair and still felt like I was going to go bald with DS1. I didn't, but it did go through some odd looking phases when it started coming back in. I'm glad I was at least prepared for it this time. In my experience it lasts from about 3 months postpartum to about 6 months.

What? He's frustrated? I would leave a hair doll on his pillow.

  • I really only started noticing the hair shedding the past two weeks, but it has been bad, especially when I use my flat iron. I teach elementary school and the kids are constantly picking my hair up- oops!
