  DD is a spitter. She has really bad reflux and has been on medication since she was a couple of weeks old. She still spits up. The medication really doesn't help much. Some kids are just spotters. My only concerns with her spit up is when it is painful for her and the fact that she isn't gaining weight. One of the specialists that we saw told us that unless babies aren't gaining weight they won't do anything about the spit up.
  
  As for home remedies, keep baby on an incline but not fully upright after a feed. You want no pressure on the tummy so keep it opened up through the hips. We don't do any tummy time or standing or sitting upright for an hour after a feed if we can.

  My LO has been on Zantac since 2 months because he was in pain from the reflux. Sadly hasn't stopped the spitting up. Like PP said I feed him upright and either hold him or let him sit in his swing (not on and swinging though) for 30 min. It's just become second nature to us, I keep a bib on him to help protect the clothes so he doesn't have to change so often, and I always have a rag near by. My doctor said it should start getting better soon (it's caused from a valve in their stomach not being fully developed) and from what others told me it's usually gone by their 1st birthday.

  yeeeeeaaaaap, me too. I fed DD carrots today at 1030 am....she was still spitting them up half an hour ago. Seriously, how could they have not passed all the way through her belly yet? Drives me nuts! We were on zantac, but it didn't make any difference so we weaned off a couple of months ago. I live with a spit rag on me at all times and all of my rugs have to be covered otherwise she'll barf all over them. 

  
  

  The amount of laundry we do here is ridiculous. How did people manage this back in the olden days!?1?

  Thanks so much for this feedback, ladies. It makes me feel a lot better that I'm not the only one dealing with this. I think I'll probably stay away from the medication because as of now she does not seem to be uncomfortable at all from this...just a nuisance we have to deal with!

  I'm in this boat too! We have started taking changes of clothes for all 3 of us when we go places. It doesn't bother him and he's 19ish lbs, so pedi isn't concerned. We use enfamil AR and Zantac. Pedi said he will eventually grow out of it. She also warned that it may worsen as he becomes mobile. The only thing that help us is for me to lean him back on my chest and read a book or watch a few mins of tv after bottles, and cloth diapers as burp rags.
  
  Eta: we have gotten his BM's a little more regular and things "cleaned out" I have noticed a significant decrease in the spit up. I hope it lasts!

  DS has severe reflux so I can empathize. We just started seeing a chiropractor who specializes in infants and children. Ive read really good things online about chiropractor care helping infant reflux. He has only had 1 appt so far, but Im hopeful! Zantac and Prevacid do nothing for him!

  My kid has reflux and is on Zantac. We also add oatmeal to his bottles which helps but hes still a huge spitter...he gets everyone we say "uh he tagged you" all the girls at daycare joke about it. Now since hes crawling he leaves little spit trails everywhere, soooo gross. Im convinced he's never going to stop lol
