    I've been doing ok.

    I started dieting the last few weeks and weight loss resumed, though I still have a way to go before my goal weight.

    I had my 6 week appointment today and got the clear to exercise. I've been walking a lot but anxious to step it up, so I came home and promptly got on the elliptical then tried some ab work and light hand weights. That was frustrating :( My incision started hurting pretty much immediately. I am really going to have to ease into it.

    I like short-term goals... LO's Christening is in 3 weeks, so I need a dress. I bought two - one is a little snug, the other is a little big. I'm going to shoot for the snug one. I'm a masochist!

  • I was able to go to the gym this weekend because my parents were here, which was awesome. Otherwise I'm just walking (and pushing the double stroller!) since h works too late for my to go to the gym during the week and they are too young for the babysitting room. My goal for this week is to do some ab stuff but I feel silly for saying that cuz I'm probably not going to. Maybe I'll try to do my Pilates video 1 or 2 times? Otherwise the frustration is my knee- it's just not the same since before pregnancy and whenever it feels better I get way too excited and overdo it. Silly me.

  • I need this thread! Got the all clear to exercise and just haven't really besides doing some sit-ups yesterday and going on walks with LO.

    My goals are to do some sort of exercise every day. I would like to ramp up the walks so they are either longer or I'm walking faster, throw in a 1 mile run once a week, do sit-ups every day, get back into yoga and start doing some home workout DVDs.

    I would like to be down at least 3 more lbs by my friend's wedding on August 16, preferably 5.
  • How is everyone doing? Doing ok. Still not cleared to work out which is frustrating, Two weeks to go, but I still try to do ab workouts, stretches, and walks every day. LO doesn't always let me do this, however. 

    Goals for this week? 
    Do 15 min of abs 3 days a week, walk every day, and stop eating my extra best feeding calories in ice cream. 
    Any accomplishments? Frustrations? 
    I've officially lost all of my baby weight, actually did a few weeks ago, but I had 15 lbs I put on when DH and I moved in together, so I want to lose that. Andplusalso, though the weight is gone, I have a squishy tummy still and two inches to lose from my hips and waist, so I want that gone. Two inches from my boobs too, but let's be honest, they're enormous and not going anywhere anytime soon.

    How is everyone doing? I'm doing pretty well. I took 2 mile walks with DD in the stroller four days last week. I'm doing the Buns, Guns, and Abs challenge (link) and am Day 5. These squats are no joke; my legs are so sore. I'm also using Pact, formerly GymPact, to keep accountable with my walks. I'm not focusing on what I'm eating yet because doing it all at once is too much right now,

    Goals for this week? Walk four times, do the next seven days of the challenge, and ask my mom if I can borrow her Insanity DVDs.

    Any accomplishments? Frustrations? Breastfeeding makes me so hungry and I make bad choices late at night. Too many Swiss Cake rolls! 
  • I'm an extremist and while I haven't officially been cleared to exercise (my 6 week appt is next Tuesday), I was frustrated with not working out so I joined a crossfit gym last Friday and have been twice. I actually feel pretty good (sore). My goal is to tighten up and lose inches since none of my clothes fit. Last week I started doing "tummy time" with LO. She does her tummy time and I plank/crunch next to her. I'd like to get out and walk more with LO and the dog but the dog doesn't do well walking with the stroller. Hoping she'll get better about it.

    I restarted WW today so I will hopefully start seeing the scale go down soon. Excited for my "6" week appointment next week to get cleared for exercise

    I plan on trying it after I finish 30DS. I figured I would do something famiar first to ease back in to working out. Once I feel a bit more in shape then I plan on branching out, starting with PiYo!

  • I'm continuing to eat healthy and exercise 3-4 times per week. I'd love to get to where I'm exercising 6 times a week but it can be difficult to find a good time each day.

    I have about 12-13 lbs to go to hit my first pre-kids weight. I have a feeling that even if I get to that weight I still won't look the same because of my abs. I'm working to bringing them back together but I think it's going to be a long road!

    My goals for this week are to workout at least 4 times and stay on track with eating. I've gone three days without working out so I HAVE to workout tomorrow or I really will fall off!

  • Happy to see this thread. I have been getting on the treadmill every morning for the last week but I have only need doing 15 minutes. It's so hard to find more time with 3 kids now!! I've also been doing squats and abs in the evening. I feel like my stomach looks like I had weight loss surgery and the skin needs tighten up. I'm going on a family vacation to a water park next week and I ordered a spanx bathing suit. Sexy!

    What Pilates video do you use and do you like it? I used to have one and can't find it. I haven't been able to find a decent replacement and can't remember what the damn original one was called.

    Since I won't be going to any classes anytime soon, I'm thinking about starting with my old prenatal yoga video. It's easier & I'll get to pretend I'm pregnant.
    It's an old one (probably 6 or 7 years) called Cardio Pilates by Gaiam. The "instructor" is named Ana and has short hair and smiles so much you think she is either hiding something or drunk. I like it ok. I don't really enjoy yoga or Pilates- I prefer stuff like the elliptical (my replacement for running), biking and swimming- but I'm making do since I can't do those things much now. It's a pretty good core workout though, and I normally just do crunches and such for my abs.

  • I just got cleared for exercise last week, but then DH went back to work and we had a busy weekend, so I haven't been able to do anything yet.

    The plan is to start with 30DS since I didn't work out during pregnancy, then start insanity again in a few weeks once I've built up my fitness level.

    Also going to try to do a bare bones healthy menu this week with mostly grilled chicken and veggies. I'd like to be back in my pre-pregnancy clothes by the time I go back to work so I don't have to buy new stuff...
  • Honestly, I have all these things I want and need to do and the only one I have managed to do is keep up with my water and fluid intake and I'm eating better. I'm so exhausted from lack of sleep I can't bring myself to get on the TreadClimber. If I take LO for a walk, I'm wiped by the time I get back and need a nap. I hope that once she's sleeping longer stretches at night, I will be able to really hit it hard.

  • Just got back from a 2.5 mile walk with LO. Still have 2 weeks til I get cleared so I'm just walking at this point. I try to go up and down the stairs a lot too during the day:) My knees are killing me trying to get up and down, even off the couch. I don't know why. I was doing crossfit up until my last 2 months pretty much of pregnancy and I don't know if my hault on exercising killed all my muscle or what. Walking doesn't bother me at least. I have my first 5k post baby on Aug. 16th, I will definitely be walking it, but I can't wait to start running again.

    The girl watch LO is right next to a park I like to run at, so I'm excited to pick him up and then go straight there. I should be able to continue that until day light savings ends at least...then I don't know what I'll do. Maybe join a gym for a few months.
