Hi. I've been lurking here every once in a while for a few months while we were waiting to be cleared to TTC.

Our son Nathaniel was stillborn at 39 1/2 weeks on 2/6/14. I went in for a normal appointment that day. He wasn't moving much. I had a non stress test done and he was not moving as much as they wanted him to even after water and a snack so they sent me over to the hospital to be induced. The doctor broke my water and then we lost his heartbeat. It came back and then a few minutes later we lost it again. I was sent for an emergency c section, but they were not able to revive him after he was born. They found out with a blood test that he died because of a maternal-fetal hemmorage, but don't know when that happened. He could have been losing blood for weeks.
We have an almost 4 year old daughter at home. I am very grateful for her. In some ways she has made dealing with the loss of Nathaniel easier. She is usually a pretty happy and fun child. But she's 3 so has her terrible days too. She was so excited to be having a baby brother and still talks about him all the time.
We have just been cleared by the doctor to start TTC. I want to have another child ASAP. DD needs a sibling. It was already more of a gap than I wanted. Now DD will be almost 5 before she gets a sibling that she can actually see and interact with on a daily basis.
I'm glad to finally be able to be a part of this board. We have just started TTC this week. I don't know if I'm really ready, but I don't want to wait any longer. It's already been almost 6 months.

3/20/16: PGS-tested Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFP, Living Child born 12/1/15
6/6/17: Fresh IVF Cycle --> Severe OHSS, 5 PGS-tested embryos frozen
2/23/18: PGS-tested FET --> BFN
3/30/18: Cancelled cycle due to lining 4.2mm
I'm so very sorry for the loss of Nathaniel. I can't imagine how difficult that experience must've been.
This is a wonderful, supportive board. I hope you find the support you need here, but please be mindful that many of us don't have any living children, so it can be difficult to read about how there's going to be a bigger gap between your children than you wanted. I appreciate that you included a warning about your daughter in your title, but it's still hard to read complaints like that when many of us are still desperately hoping for our first.
