We are thinking of getting the Rock n Roll baby lullaby cd to use in the nursery? Anyone ever used this? We hated my sister's noise machine it was very annoying. Any reccomendations?
We will probably just use either a fan or a great alarm clock sizes CD player that we can put on repeat with "normal" CDs. I'm thinking maybe some James Taylor

Twins? You mean two babies? WOW!
Team PURPLE!!
We are excited to meet William Alexander and Harper Abigail in 2015!
We downloaded a 'sounds of nature' album in iTunes and ran that in the nursery constantly. It was definitely more like a sound machine (ocean waves, birds, rain, wind, etc), but it's great for helping baby sleep. The uterus is a noisy place when they're in there, so loud 'white noise' is very soothing to them (although it can be annoying to us).
Our baby monitor plays lullabies so we'll just use that again. Outside of that LO will listen to whatever I have available whether it be Weird Al or Elton John.
I love Latin jazz music for relaxation, and new age instrumentals. Will be just playing that with my internet radio for babies when necessary. I prefer to sing to them when I can though.

Rockabye Baby CDs are pretty cool. They are instrumental versions of popular musicians. There is something for everyone from U2 and Nirvana to Gwen Stefani and Kanye West.
For my best friends baby shower gift I downloaded a bunch of the songs and loaded them onto an iPod mini. I got her this cool music box that she could plug the iPod into and the box glowed different soothing colors so it doubled as a night light!
We downloaded some classical lullabies to play while I was rocking DS, but we just used the sleep sheep heart beat sound in his room. It shuts off after a period of time so that way he got used to sleeping on his own without other noises.
i use to just play hank williams with dd. with this baby it will probably just get afan in our room and maybe a noise machine in its room.

He did enjoy his Jimmy Buffet lullabies though.
