Nicki's Diapers?

Hi ladies!  Lurker here and I have asked a few questions in the past.  I found you to be so helpful before and am hoping you can help me out again :)  I have a new little squish that was born in June that I had bought a newborn stash for.  My newborn stash consists mostly of GMD workhorses and prefolds with some covers, but I also bought 4 Newborn Simplex AIOs.  Well now that he is here and we have been at this a few weeks, I find that I very much prefer the Simplex AIOs.  They are so much less bulky and seem more comfortable for him.  I think we still have a few weeks left in newborn diapers (my one size stash for my older son still looks way too big to fit on my little guy at this point) and am thinking of getting some more newborn AIO diapers.  I was just going to get more Simplex, but then I saw that Nicki's Diapers has their own brand Newborn Bamboo AIO diaper and they are only $9.95.  Has anyone tried these and if so how do they compare to the Simplex?  Also noticed that there is an Imagine brand Newborn Bamboo AIO for the same price and didn't know if those were pretty much the same as the Nicki's brand or if they would be better or worse?  Any insight is much appreciated!

For your time, here is a pic of my little guy.  If that cuteness factor isn't a good enough reason to cloth diaper, I don't know what is!  :)  (I have never posted a pic on here before and apologize in advance if I screw it up or it ends up huge or something...)

I've tried Nicki's OS bamboo AIO and I have to say I don't like it as well as the Simplex. Main reason being that the snap-out soaker is really, really thick, so on occasion it is the one thing that comes out of my diaper routine still having some barnyard stink on it, so I have to run it through a second detergent cycle. The other problem is that is also takes longer to dry, because it is so thick. I don't know if this is the case for the NB model, though. I would hope for a smaller diaper they would use a smaller/thinner soaker, but I don't know. The fabric itself is nice, I just would have liked if it came apart in more layers.

I think their newborn aio is still pretty new, so it may be hard to find reviews.

What about Kawaii pure and naturals? They are pockets, but I started using them at 2 weeks. They are $10ish and might help bridge the gap from NB to OS.

Thanks for the help!  I have not looked into Kawaii at all so will do that :)  I just stumbled across the Nicki's dipes while looking for the best price for Simplex and wondered about those so thought I'd ask.  I am thinking about re-vamping my OS stash also because I just started cloth this past winter with my toddler and I have a huge collection of covers and inserts and a few pockets.  The covers and inserts have worked well for him, but am thinking they won't be the best choice for a younger baby with runny NB poop.  Will probably need to buy more AIOs and pockets in OS for that.  Yay!  Haha :)

I have the OS bamboo AIO and LOVE it!

If the nb's are anything like the OS, they are really great.

I also loved and liked the imagine bamboo nb aio's.  we used them for close to six months

I absolutely loved imagine nb bamboo aio's. No experience with Nicki's though.

I have 5 of the Nicki's OS AIO bamboo, and the rest of my stash is Simplex. I like them both a lot...the price of the Nicki's is very compelling! I agree with PP that the insert is very thick and takes forever to dry, even in the dryer. I have also found the inserts to be really inconsistent in size. Same thickness, but I have one that is wider than the rest, one that is way longer and thinner, etc. Its weird. Doesn't effect absorbancy, just more annoying than anything. Otherwise I really like them. My Simplex fit trimmer, but I think the Nicki's would probably absorb more. HTH!

    Hi,

I purchased 24 imagine newborn sized all in ones from Nicki's diapers for my daughter and loved them. She was born LGA (large for gestational age) and they still fit her for several months. My husband and I were sad when we moved her up to the one size pockets because the imagine ones were just so easy to use. I also purchased a couple imagine bamboo fitted newborns but they were not the all in ones. I also liked these but not as much because they took longer than my other diapers to dry. But they were fitteds so thats to be expected.
