OMG she STTN!!!

Two nights ago, Amelia nursed in the middle of the night for the last time after weeks of oh-so-gradual night weaning. The next night, she woke up at her "usual" times and I offered water and a hug, put her back to bed, and she cried less than a minute each time.

She did not cry at all last night for the first time in her life (she'll be 18mos on Wednesday). I am simultaneously ecstatic, and pissed at myself for staying up so late! And for waking up before her! Lol. But YAY!!!!!!!

I just had to tell somebody. Y'all are the best.

    Isn't that amazing???  Sammy did the same thing starting after she night weaned.  I am SO FRICKING happy for you.

    Yay! I wonder how long it will take to "sleep train" yourself to STTN!

    Hahaha. @ConstanceGoodspeed‌ I was surprised that I actually slept through one of her usual wake-up times. Methinks it won't take long. ;-)

    I am still very excited and pleased with how much energy I have today. If we weren't going out tonight I'd try to go to bed early to take advantage of it.

    You are going to feel lik you are on crack after like a week.  I was like, "OH MY GOD THE SUN IS SHINING THE WORLD IS BEAUTIFUL OMIGOD I LOVE EVERYBODY"  for ever.  It was amazing how amazing I felt. :)

    @spainy17‌ You crack me up! I can't wait. I hope she really does keep doing it because we have SKs starting next weekend for two weeks and nothing is more exhausting than caring for five people for two weeks when I'm not in the habit. Last year was bad, haha.

    Even if she doesn't keep STTN, I'm not nursing anymore at night so I can send in reinforcements. ;-)

    Thanks! She woke up 3 times again last night. :-( At least she didn't ask for milk. I didn't really expect it to just suddenly be perfect, but soon!

    At least you know she is capable of it now! 

    One thing that made a night and day difference one I night weaned was putting a straw cup with a little bit of water in her crib with her.  Now she can get a drink herself without calling for me - seems like most of those times she called for me she was thirsty!  Now it narrows the options in the middle of the night... Now if she cries for me I know she doesn't feel good or needs cuddles. :)

    Yeah, she has a cup now but she forgets, lol. Sigh. We'll see how tonight goes. :-D
