IUI and Vacation

Has anyone been on vacation at the start of a new cycle?!
Although I would love for AF to not make her appearance after our first IUI...after low progesterone b/w I'm fairly confident she's going to come while on vacation....fml
Anyways...if that happens I obviously won't be around for my CD3 u/s or to start my femera...is it possible to get an ultrasound down here and for my doctor to call in my prescription? I really don't want to skip a cycle but I'm starting to think I may have to if AF comes too soon!

2011-Oct.2013 - trying off and on, ob/gyn, no meds
November 2013-December-EOD, ob/gyn, no meds
January 2014- ob/gyn ordered Clomid (50 mg) unmonitored, EOD-BFN
February-Clomid 50 mg. unmontiored, EOD - BFN
March-Switched to RE
April- 100 mg Clomid/Ovidrel-BFN
May - 100 mg Clomid/Ovidrel-BFN
June-*BREAK/Switch RE*
July- 5 mg Femara/Ovidrel + IUI #1- BFN
August- 5 mg Femara/Ovidrel + IUI #2 - BFP!!!!

    This happened to us for this month. I just took advantage of the break and focused on other non ttc related stuff

    4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012)
    All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal

    5 IUIs = BFN

    All AL are welcome

    We also just took that month off. Kinda nice for a break from doctors, drugs and appointments.

    Lost my angel boys at 10.5 weeks
    Cycle 14-16: Natural Cycles = BFN

    Cycle 24 - 26: natural cycle w/ acupuncture + Chinese herbs = BFN
    Cycle 27: Follistim + IUI#4 = BFFN
    Natural Cycles until IVF
    Cycle 30: IVF#1 - Starting with Menopur + Follistim + Ganirelix
    17 retrieved, 12 fertilized, 5dt w/ 2 blasts, 5 frosties
    Betas:  #1-156(9dp5dt), #2-1200(13dp5) #3-6112(17dp5)
    Ultrasound #1 10/6: 1 bean!

    Maybe you could hit up a local planned parenthood? They might be able to give you a walk in u/s.

    ME:      36, on BC since 1996,  irregular periods.   HUBS:      37, healthy

    2001—meet.  2005—marry.  2006—Furbaby is born. 

    On BC till end of 2009.  2010 NTNP.   

    New Year’s Eve 2010—BFP?! January 13, 2011—early loss, HCG peaked at 324, no D&C needed.

    Feb 2011-Nov 2012—NTNP 

    Dec 2012 --present (TTC 20 months) Not even a hint of a BFP

    Me:  BW, U/S, HSG, HSN normal.  AMH 2.33.  Hubs: SA normal

    April 2014--IUI #1 Clomid 100 4-8 Follistim 150 9-14, 5 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 5/5 1100, BFN 

    May 2014 ---IUI#2 Clomid 100 3-7 Follistim 150 8-13, 3 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 6/6 547, BFN

    June 2014--IUI#3 Follistim 150/225 3-15, 3-5 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 7/11 1450, BFN

    July 2014--IUI#4 Follistim 225 2-12, 3 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 8/12 841, BFN

    Breaking till after Christmas, then IVF...taking 4000 mgs daily Inositol and Melatonin 3mg

    I don't have experience with that yet either but wanted to say good luck! It sounds like there are some options with the BCPs so that would be good if you don't want to wait a whole month!

    Cycle 4: Anovulatory/Prometrium=127 days! RE consult 6/16
    Me: Anov/poss. pcos?  HSG=normal/SA= Normal 
    July/Aug. 2014= Femara+trigger+TI=BFP!!
    Beta #1@ 16dpo=626!! Beta #2=1510
    Ultrasound @ 5w6d=heartbeat at 110!
    Ultrasound @ 6w6d =heartbeat at 131!

    This just happened to me. I had a negative beta last Monday the 21st, I stopped my progesterone that day and was told it would take a week for AF to show and we planned to leave for a 5 day vacation the next day which in theory would give us more than enough time to get back for a CD 3 US. Nope, AF showed up Wednesday! I called RE's office and was not allowed to see another group, I was however able to go to a closer office for their group but that was still 3 hours away. DH and I got up at 3am to make our 7am appointment and then drove back to finish the vacation. FX this cycle is the one. GL with getting in your CD 3 and hopefully you can find some time to relax on your vacation! Enjoy!
