Nausea returns at 20 weeks?

Hi ladies, I had nausea (no vomiting) from week 5 -10 but had been feeling pretty good since. I'll be 20 weeks tmr and today nausea came back. I'm still able to eat but not as much. I also slept terribly the last two nights, waking up every hour, tossing and turning (I normally sleep very well).

Anyone in the same boat or has experience with this? I hope it goes away soon.....

Re: Nausea returns at 20 weeks?

  • I'm 19 weeks and had the nausea return yesterday. It had pretty much gone away at 14 weeks. Hope it's not an everyday thing again :((

  • I had to change everything about the way I ate to solve that. I started to get nauseous when I woke up and couldn't keep my breakfast down around 18 weeks and it totally freaked me out - realized that it's because my digestive system is shrinking and needs waaay more time to process food.
  • I wasn't nauseated at all during my pregnancy until 20 weeks. It only happens when I'm near men with specific colognes. I get light headed, dizzy, and then the vomiting. :-(

And again when 6pm hits. It comes with a wave of heartburn. I hope the vomiting stops soon. Breath mints are getting expensive!

I find it comes back with me if I am too hot, or tired, if i slept poorly the night before and don't nap when my toddler does I am so ill all afternoon and the next day to.

My mom also said it could be related to my poor sleep for the past two nights. Hope I sleep better tonight on, I may need to give in and buy one of those pregnancy pillows.

  • I've had nausea come back too! I had m/s early on but then it went away. Now I'm starting to feel nauseous again. Not bad enough to throw up thankfully. Now that you all mention it, mine could be fr heat & lack of sleep. Having a terrible time sleeping. Ahh the joys of pregnancy :-)

Mine never went away, but it changed and I'm thinking it might be heartburn related now. Trying some heartburn medication for the first time tonight, so we'll see how it goes.
