Yep, switched her over about a year ago. She HATED feeling confined, whether in her crib or a PnP. We converted her crib and put up a bedrail. It made the transition from our bed to hers so much easier!

We converted to toddler bed when he started trying to jump over the side. I did that at 18 months and broke my arm, so I wasn't taking any chances.
Elijah had been sleeping on a mat at daycare and has had no problems with staying in his bed. We don't have a rail on his bed. He rolls out once in a blue moon.
We over eagerly made that change too early with dd1 and my great sleeper was no more! Dd2 will sleep in that crib till she is five if she isn't climbing out.

E used to climb out until I took the cloth crib rail cover off and lowered the mattress to the floor. Now he stays put. It'll stay that way for awhile. We might move (locally) in the fall after DH comes home and we've talked about putting the boys together in one room. We have bunk beds in DS1'S room now so we might just go straight to that bed (twin size) when we move.
Ds2 will get a toddler bed for his birthday. But i hope he waits a while until he starts to climb out. Dd was 25 months and ds1 was 2 and a half before we needed to switch them.
Hey I just met you, and you're my baby. This is your family, we're kind of crazy...
We moved to a normal bed with pool noodle at about 17 months. She seemed confined in the crib and is happier in bed. It also means she comes to find us if she wakes up, and doesn't demand room service, which is easier. (Disclaimer: we've never done any form of sleep training, and I have no idea how that would work if you LO could easily get out if bed.)
We switched ds1 at 2.5. He would still stay in bed and call for us to come get him for a few months. Ds2 hasn't tried to climb out yet so I will probably leave him for awhile in a crib. Ds1 is dying to get bunk beds so we my change at the end of the year.
We switched to a toddler bed 3-4 months ago. She has hated the toddler bed and always climbs into bed with her sister. They both sleep on a twin bed one girl on one end and the other on the other end. We are just going to get her a twin bed, since she is not using the toddler bed.
Ugh, read this post yesterday and was thinking the same way as most of you-- UHH NO! But a las, this morning R climbed out of her crib (
We put her crib mattress on the floor, and somehow she went right to sleep for her nap. I'm hoping she is just the perfect toddler and will have no issue with the transition.... we are already losing enough sleep with our newborn!
@wesleycrusher -- since you asked James was born on the 16th. 7lb 11oz, 19 inches long. L&D was a breeze this time around! Like... unbelievably so! Last time I labored for 29 hours and pushed 2. This time I labored 5 hours and pushed for 20 minutes!
R is obsessed with him. No jealousy issues (yet) thankfully... she just wants to play momma, and it is mostly terrifying. Clearly I need to pay closer attention to them. I walked in the living room and she was taking his diaper off :-O She also tries to pick him up out of his bouncy seat whenever he starts crying, and is so sweet to offer to nurse him for me. These toddlers are nuts, man.
Moved my son to his toddler bed several months ago. Put it up before he had taken his nap an when he climbed out of his crib an walked out into the living room it was time!
