There's a lot of information about intrauterine scar tissue causing problems during pregnancy, but what about scar tissue on the outside of the uterus?
After Finn was born I had some complications healing from the c-section. A small section on my left side opened up - bled a lot initially, it was awful.., I ended up having nurses coming in to clean and pack the wound for a few months (which was especially torturous after we lost Finn).
It hasn't bothered me much until recently. I have a distinct discomfort, not really painful, but worrisome - sort of a tugging feeling on my left side near the inscision.
I'm going to bring this up with my doctor Monday, but I'm wondering if any of you have experience with this?
I'm worried this is going to cause problems later on - I'm just 12.3 weeks now.
Re: scar tissue after c-section
Scar tissue doesn't have the blood flow or elasticity or any of the same properties as normal healthy skin. Imagine pantyhose that has a small hole that got repaired with non-stretchy-thread. That area is no longer stretchy since it's a repair and not of the same material.
I hope it turns out to be nothing major, but def ask your dr about it. You might also ask your bmb STM's who had c/s if they're also tender.
