I kid you not one of the new girls at my work wore leggings with her waist length golf shirt work top. Leggings to work?!!! Wtaf. She is a teenager but how can anything think that is apporiate? Made me think of the bump so i thought i would share.
That is in style for the young ones. If I still had my teenage body I would rock leggings and a midriff shirt like it was my job....to my job, but alas I have the body of a 29 year old mom of 2.
::Sigh, back to my drink::
Haha I just got rid of a ton of college clothes. Even if I ever weigh that little again (not likely) my tube top and teeny tiny tank tops days are over.
I wish I could pull off leggings period. I'm a little "hippy". But it's a cute style and so trendy so I dress up my dd in leggings all the time. I wouldn't wear them to work no matter what though. I wear business casual even on casual Fridays sometimes and I always side eye the extra casual, casual Friday looks people wear.
I wore leggings to work frequently last year. I was pregnant and I was a teacher and I would never wear them with a waist length shirt but they are SO comfy! I wore them to work before I was pregnant too though. Also, working with 5 year olds kind of gives me a good excuse. Tunics and long sweaters for the win!
I frequently see people in leggings with waist length tops at workplaces like daycare and restaurants. Know what else I see? Their underwear. You may look fine from the front (although that's debatable ), but that material stretches thin over the hindquarters .
Leggings are not pants. But our college age baby-sitter who was a sorority girl and always looked about 100x more dressed up and cute than I did wore leggings as pants all the time. And somehow it did not look obscene. But of course she was baby-sitting, not entirely a job.
