Can't stop the biting !!!

My DD (6mo) has been chomping at me now for over a month and I can't take it anymore. The moment her first tooth broke she started scrapping it on my nipples. I pushed through it tried to remain calm and just placed my finger in her mouth and stopped her.

But Now she has three teeth and every nursing session is so painful and results in multiple bites. Lately my right nipple actually has an open wound where she drew blood. I am brought to tears it hurts so bad.

I'm so sad that my nursing journey is ending like this but I'm petrified of her two top teeth breaking through.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before???

    I'm sorry. Ty got teeth early but only bit me a few times. I would unlatch him, say "ouch" sternly and put my boob away. He caught on very quickly that biting resulted in no boobs!

    Did you have broken skin at all??? I'm now in so much pain and it hurts like hell to pump. She re-opened the healing from a few days as go and now with not letting her nurse and very little pumping my supply has already tanked and I'm lopsided....! I expressed some milk and let it dry on the area but damn it hurts more than when you first start.....

    Yes I've had broken skin. And you're right, it hurts more than the first few days of breastfeeding!!
