This is the weekly check-in for TTCALers who are also dealing with infertility. If you'd like to join us please feel free to intro with your diagnosis and history. We've had a few extra challenges thrown at us, ladies. Come here for snuggles from people who get what you're dealing with.

Fill us in, along with any other updates or vents you need to get out, TTCAL or NonTTCAL related.

If you get a BFP, please PM me and let me know. I try to lurk on PgAL often, but sometimes it’s tough. If we haven’t heard from you in a few weeks please come back in with an update; or are new and want to join please post a brief intro with your DX and current/future treatment plans an I’ll add you to next week’s check in!

@alicia_r1 How are you feeling Hun? Are you going to test or wait until beta? Keeping everything crossed so tightly for you.

@beckynsean11 How is your 2WW going Hun? Hopefully you are having fun in the sunshine and it is passing quickly.

@Frenchteachermama Did you start your testosterone patch on Thursday? Hopefully no side effects so far! How did pricing the meds go? Hopefully it was in line with what you were expecting.

@ky29 How are you doing in the 2ww? I hope you are keeping busy and distracted. Have you and YH discussed when do start IVF protocol between August or September anymore?

@Lesliem0901 Have you gotten any more insight on the CCS testing? I hope you are able to come to a decision easily on what is best for you and YH in this process.

@Lundlebean How did your ultrasound go this morning? Hopefully everything is moving right along for your natural FET cycle.

@MBJune How is your 2ww going? Doing anything fun to keep distracted?

@O2girl How are you doing Hun? Are you getting any more ideas when your FET will be?

@Rachaeleigh I hope you are feeling a little bit less sore from working out! How is your 2ww going, less stressful on a NTNP cycle?

@RedheadRunning How is the start of your cycle going? When do you usually O? Have you had any monitoring lately?

No, I'm still pretty sore. I might have strained something in my hamstring, it was really tender today.

Things were less stressful this month with NTNP until I started peeing on wondfos and straining and pretending to see squinters (which I absolutely do not think are really there)

Aww ((hugs)) it's amazing how many ways you can hold a hpt to the light in hopes of seeing any hint of a line. I am still keeping my fx for you. I hope your mind eases up on you.

I've actually been fairly calm the past week, I've started yoga again so I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or because of that.

I have monitoring Wed so it'll be interesting to see what's going on. Looking forward to the long weekend ahead, I'll be away so I'll probably post check in Friday instead.

Thank you for the check-in, @TVLily

Based on wonky OPK results, I thought I ovulated too early and that I was out. U/S showed that I should be ovulating on the right, but haven't yet. E2/Progesterone test said I was currently "not ovulatory". I have to keep testing for O before moving on. This cycle is stressful as I don't understand the FET process yet.

QOTW: We haven't really done anything this Summer. I currently have landscapers in the backyard, so soon we'll have grass, an above-ground pool, and a patio to work with.

My 2ww is going by soo slowly! To fulfill my need to poas I did so after I'd been awake for like 5 hours and drank a pot of coffee....stark white. I'm only 10dpiui and slowing losing faith in this cycle. Now I will wait until Wednesday morning, only time will tell.

AFM- I didn't do anything on to honor because it was too hard for me. It still hurts, but I feel better than I did on Thursday.

The 2ww is going ok. I don't want to pows because I hate seeing bfn's. Af should be here next week.

QOTW- My best memory is DH and I doing work around the house. We bought a house that needs a lot of work and it's nice to see what we have accomplished.

I hope everything clarifies soon for you with this cycle and they catch your O at the right time.

@Rachaeleigh I'm glad you got a break from some of the stress. Testing is so stressful, it's amazing the tricks our mind can play on us. FX for a real line to show on those tests in the next few days.

@TVLily Good luck with monitoring on Wednesday. It's nice to hear the yoga is helping you relax, I'm considering finding a yoga studio around here.

@LundleBean I hope you can get some clarity on the FET process soon. It confuses the bejeesus outta me.

@MBJune FX for great news for you on Wednesday!

@Rocks526 I'm glad to hear that you're on the upswing since Thursday. Here's hoping AF stays far away!

AFM, I'm 9dpo & I was doing fine with the 2WW until last night when MH asked "how soon will we know if it worked?" There was so much hope in his voice, it breaks my heart in a way. I was planning on waiting until Thursday, 14dpo, to test; but I'm considering starting tomorrow if my temps are still looking reasonable. I have very little hope for this cycle, but I did check the EDD if it were to work & this cycle would make me due just days before the anniversary of our last loss.

I think I'm just in a bad place overall. There were a few announcements this week that hit me hard. I'm also still really close with a group from my BMB & seeing them all getting so close right now & being in & out of L&D for various things is really hard. I love these women & they were so amazing during my loss & since then; but I don't know if I'm strong enough to watch them all get to the finish line. I'm thinking about calling my RE tomorrow to see if they have any counselors they recommend.

QOTW: We moved into our first house this summer. It's been really great doing stuff around the house to make it our own.

I'm so sorry you have been struggling Hun, sending so many (((hugs))) your way. I have found counselling very helpful. I found a psychologist who specializes in infertility using the psychology today site (you can search your area and select areas they specialize in).

it's so hard to have the reminder how infested our husbands are in this! and how hurt they also are when cycles are a bust. I am keeping everything crossed for you ((hugs)).

@Racheleigh OMG, I do the same with squinting at the pee sticks, even picking them out of the garbage way after the allotted time to check on more time. I hope we can all see a BFP soon!!

@LundleBean I'm curious about the FET process too! Do they put the frozen embryos in after you confirm O?

@MBJune FX that is was just too early to test!!!

@beckynsean11 ((hugs)) I have to tell you that finding a therapist was one of the best things I've done for myself this year. My identical twin sister is due in a few weeks and it's been so hard for me. I found a woman who specializes in infertility and grief. She is the best. It's so hard to hear bfp announcements and see other's happiness...I understand your feelings exactly.

AFM: I started the testosterone patches on Friday and so far so good. All of my meds arrived and the AWESOME guy at freedom pharmacy managed to trick my insurance company into paying for part of the medication! Because I had done IUIs before most of it went through before they discovered it was for IVF. So instead of paying $4900 like we expected we only paid $2000! I pray this cycle works or we get frosties because this won't happen again. The huge package of meds arrived on Friday, making everything very very real. Lupron starts on 8/6 and Gonal F on 8/8.

QOTW: I have the best block of neighbors and we've had a lot of summer parties. It's so nice to be able to walk home and not worry about driving!!

With this being my first check-in (post introduction) I think I'll sit back and get to know everyone, but @beckyandsean11 @LundleBean @Rocks526 I'm looking forward to hearing about your house/landscaping updates; we bought a house earlier this year and have spent the summer making it our own and working on the yard as well.

@RedheadRunning How is the start of your cycle going? When do you usually O? Have you had any monitoring lately? - This is my third cycle post-loss and it's been such a learning process as they've been all over the place. We will not monitor this month, last month we did so only to ensure that I had passed some retained tissue from the D&C. This month I am to call after I get my first positive OPK and we'll schedule a spontaneous IUI, which should be sometime next weekend.

QOTW: I've really struggled with enjoying this summer after our loss, but I would have to say getting together with friends has definitely been the highlight.

Thank you for the check-in, @TVLily. Glad the yoga is helping.

I have decided to not move forward with CCS testing for my first IVF. My insurance only partially covers two procedures. If I was to do any pre-genetic testing, the FET would count as the second procedure. If IVF#1 doesn't work out, I'll do CCS for #2.

@Frenchteachermama - Awesome news on the meds coverage! I'm working with Mandell's right now but I might need to switch over.

That is amazing about the meds!!! So great when someone helps you like that to ease some of the strain. That is so exciting everything is falling so well into place and you have tentative dates.

Your street sounds wonderful! Reminds me of my street growing up, lots of great memories.

Loses definitly mess up cycles. It takes a bit to figure out what your new "normal" is. Fx you get a + Opk soon.

I'm doing pretty good I think. The Lupron is in full swing and the add back therapy the RE put me on IS NOT WORKING. So I have been super moody, crampy, hot, headachy, nauseous, over all pissy.... And did I mention moody? I'm pretty sure MH isn't more annoying than usual...... but he sure seems more annoying. Poor guy.

No new news on the FET front. I'm expecting that the next FET will be in October; But that may get moved up...fx anyway.

@Racheleigh OMG, I was doing that with the stupid wondfo's my last IUI...I was driving myself crazy.

nervous for beta tomorrow, trying to enjoy today since it's my birthday, but I haven't been feeling like celebrating at all for the past week. Maybe I'll make up for it if it stays nice this week and telework from the pool on base.

We really haven't had much where we got to do anything this summer. My parents came out at the end of spring so that was great, we were supposed to go to OC MD in early July but IVF #1 canceled that trip..looks like now we are considering going to Virginia Beach in Sept to see Brad Paisley and since I've never been down there, I'm excited to go. Now to stop waiting on our friends to confirm they are going and just book our room while we can.
