Hey ladies - sorry I'm late today.  I had a conference to go to this am and my 2nd monitoring u/s so things have been a little crazy today.

We are a group of women striving to live healthier lives, whether that means losing weight, gaining weight, sticking to a specific diet, counting calories, avoiding counting calories, starting to exercise, continuing to exercise or anything in between.
We check in on Mondays and follow up with an accountability on Fridays (our favorite post of the week, because we love encouraging each other and celebrating all our successes!).

MFP is a great tool to keep yourself accountable, and because it is set up as a social network site, we can cheer you on there as well as here.   • Hi MrsG!  :-h  Hope your appointment went well.

    I've been doing really well this week with my diet, so I'm pleased with that.  And I ran 3 miles last night, which I was happy about, but at the same time I felt like a loser yesterday because I had my alarm set to get up early to run and I ended up resetting it so I could sleep another hour.  L-)  Oh well, such is life.  I think that feeling has given me new found motivation though, so that's a good thing.  Plan for the weekend - go to the gym after work, get a run in tomorrow morning before the temps rise, rest day on Sunday (probably a walk with the dogs and such, but nothing too strenuous).  Oh, and I ordered a FitBit Flex last week and it arrived Wednesday, so I started using that yesterday.  It's my new fun toy.  ;)

    I think I missed the last HL post but I'm still here! This week I have done exceptionally well with eating right and exercising. I missed my pilates class last night because traffic was so terrible that it took me an hour and a half to get home (pilates is 8-10 miles further) so there was no way I was making it. But I got up early and went this morning. I don't know what's been different about this week, but I hope I can keep it up! I also finally went out today and bought bigger pants so hopefully I can at least feel better about myself while I work on losing a few more pounds. The frustrating thing is that the scale is back where it was before I got pregnant but my clothes just don't fit the same way. I'm wondering if they ever will!
    So glad you are still here.  I'm glad you've seen the scale move back to where it was, but hate to hear your clothes aren't fitting the way they used to.  I'm proof that you can get that back too, but it just may take time.  I find the weight lifting has really helped me get back to where I was.  I'm glad you got up and went to pilates this morning.  Great way to start the day.

  • AFM - it's been a crazy week... I have kept up with my workouts and my steps are good too.  My eating has been pretty spot on, except for my slight dependency on M&Ms to fill my calories.  I also have been stressed and work and conferences and such have been messing with things like dinner time and such.  Other than that, Insanity is still going well.  It's rough, but going well.  This weekend I will likely take a rest day tomorrow and do a stretching DVD plus perhaps a long walk.  Other than that I have to do my food prep and such.

  • I missed Mondays check in, but to update I have been very happy with myself with my eating overall. I've stuck to my diet and also stuck to my exercise goals, though they are easy right now. So all that is good! I do want to be better about taking time to make a healthier lunch next week. I didn't loose any weight this week even though I stuck to my diet... But didn't gain either. Hope the u/s went well!
    Not gaining is great.  Sometimes that is the hardest thing!  What do you think you'll make next week for lunch?  I'm making these

Somehow peanut butter M&M's keeps getting written on my list and every time I mark it out, it shows back up! I know DH isn't trying to sabotage my plan but man, he just needs to get the M&M's from the vending machine and eat them at work or something!
    Yeah... I baked for my office this week and wound up with extra M&Ms and Oreos in the house.  I've tried to limit myself, but it's a bit difficult sometimes as I LOVE M&Ms.  I did do pretty well and didn't eat the stuff I baked except for a few bites.

  • Hi everyone! I find myself in a nice routine, which makes working out easy! Eating has continued to also go well. I'm doing my walking/running routine on Mondays and Thursdays and weight and resistance training on Tuesday and Saturday. Keep up the great work everyone!!

  • Can you add me to the check in? I *think* I posted last week but could be delirious.

    Monday was day 1 of the rest of my life for me. I gave myself a solid week and a half to sulk, eat whatever I wanted and lay around. Since Monday I've been eating a high protein, medium carb and low fat diet. And I'm eating real food and a lot of it. It's been great and amazingly I've lost 5lbs! I still have 20 to go but seeing that scale move has kept me motivated. I'm hoping to start working out again Monday - waiting on the post d&c ok. I have still been consuming a bit too much alcohol, but mixed with diet soda. That almost makes it ok, right? ;)

  • Thanks @Megdowntheshore‌! I honestly was eating so terribly that I'm not surprised. I'm thinking the next 5-10 will be the hardest!

    Finding a lot of relief with quest bars. They are technically protein bars but I swear the cookie dough one is amazing! It's been helping me skip the late night snack with h and eat well.

  • Hi ladies! This week kind of sucked. I had a great workout Monday, but that's it. I have also been eating too much chocolate the last few days. I'm totally blaming AF for that one! Oh well! Next week will be better!

  • Hi ladies! Thanks, @MrsG80inTN‌ for posting despite a crazy day. I'm impressed with your willpower with your baked goods. I find it hard to keep it in check when I bake.

    I had a good week. Still getting in lots if exercise. I ran 5 miles today. There is something magic about running on the boardwalk. I can just keep going. I found out today that my FET is on Thursday so less than a week to go. Eeeek.

    You ran 5 miles?!? Dang girl!

    So glad you are bck on track and losing weight too. It's a great feeling. I say be kind to yourself as you heal and make one new good choice a week or a day until you feel like you are making even more good choices. And I will absolutely add you... I kept trying to figure out who I hadn't added :) my brain is fried!
