Do you put any stuffed animals/blankets/anything else in the crib with LO?

  • We just started letting her have a lovey at night. It ends up at the end of the crib

  • Loading the player...
  • I put nope because nothing soft. She has a teething ring and rattle for her to play with when she wakes up.

  • Nothing as of now although I am considering it, wondering if it may make the transition from his PnP in our room/our bed to his room and crib easier (we still haven't moved him).

There's a stuffed animal at the end of the crib but I dint put his head in that direction. He never actually plays with it or reaches it. Hmm... I guess I should take it out then
  • DD just started sleeping with a really small teddy bear.

  • We feel comfortable with a small lovey (the blanket/stuffed animal head type).

  • I got him an A+A muslin security blanket. It's really small. I haven't had the courage to toss it in with him. He's all over the crib at night. I'm way paranoid

  • Ss-bedshare. Light blanket, no pillow.

  • I put nothing. He used to sleep with a wubby but he started to reject that at 6ish months so he doesn't use a paci at all anymore.

At this point, though, if he needed something to help him sleep, I would give it to him. He walks unassisted all the time, so I'm not too concerned he wouldn't be able to roll away from a stuffed animal in his crib.

LO has a soft cow lovey.  She holds it in her arms and looks at her mobile to go to sleep.

I'm jealous of this. We still put DS down asleep. I'm dreading the day he gets to big to rock to sleep or we don't give a bedtime bottle bc I don't know what we're gonna do.

  • @wedding06 that's how I feel too. I have a small crinkly toy in with each of them. Not worried about suffocation with them, they're really small. I can hear them playing with them when they wake sometimes. I wouldn't put a blanket in yet though, they'd get tangled up for sure. They also have about 10 pacies each strewn around the edges of the crib. If they wake up at night fussy, they flail around until they find one, put it in and go back to sleep.

  • Nothing. Even the mobile is gone now that she stands.

  • Nothing but a million pacis. I put a blanket in around 18 months and a pillow in at 2.

  • A&A blanket.
  • Nothing. DD hasn't taken a paci in forever, but we are starting to put her down while she is still awake (before I nursed her to sleep and put her down, but she is developing a habit of waking up as soon as she is down) so earlier this week I tried leaving a paci in the crib. She threw it out... At 3:30 am this morning I considered putting a small stuffed animal in there (she randomly woke up and would go back down) but I chickened out.
  • Glad to see I'm not nuts. One of my mom neighbors said I was crazy for not having anything in his crib yet.

  • We put a small blanket in there just enough to cover his legs since he doesn't fit into the footed pj's anymore. His room gets a little cold at night and he gets cold easily. He usually comes out from under it and then plays with it when he wales up in the morning which gives me an extra 10 min of sleep time.

  • He has a small sock monkey he likes to sleep with. That is it.  No fluffy or big stuffed animals.

  • Crocheted blanket and a sock monkey.
  • Small lovey with a pacifier attached and an extra paci. She flings the lovey around when she is trying to sleep and plays with it in the morning.

SS: light crocheted blanket during naps. Nothing at night, we still do sleep sacks.

  • She has a small stuff animal and a couple teething toys. She also has a Minnie Mouse that clips to the crib and plays music.
