I'm high risk because of a blood clotting disorder, so I get frequent ultrasounds. Today I had one and holy baby, he is BIG! I'm 28 weeks, so he should be just above 2lbs, and he's measuring in about 3lbs 9oz!! I tested in normal ranges for my glucose screening, but my high risk Dr. wants me to retest in a month if after the next ultrasound he's still measuring so big. He's afraid I might have late onset diabetes. Eek!! Baby needs to slow down a little!! I'm terrified of having a HUGE baby!! Anyone else have/had this issue?
Anyway, attaching a photo of little squish's face just because I want to
Re: Ultrasound and baby is ginormous!
I think it is somewhat normal for u/s measurements to be off +/- a pound. But only time will tell I suppose. Good luck!
And yes I'm a FTM, so we'll have to see!
I am being induced no later than 39 weeks though because of my clotting issues, which isn't something I was thrilled with but now I'm thinking it sounds better anyway
