Traveling w baby question

So I'm taking DD2 and DH to a work conference in AZ in a week. We won't be going anywhere except from the airport to the resort (a couple miles). Do I have to bring a car seat for the taxi?

Also would you bring the big clunky stroller because it has a basket underneath, so maybe it would be easier to haul items at the airport or bring little umbrella stroller? DD2 will be 9 mos old. I'm also going to bring my Boba carrier.

Well, you should be using the carseat on the plane. But to answer your question, yes, use the carseat in the taxi. Stroller is your call. I'd bring which ever one won't break your heart if its lost or damaged (also why you shouldn't check the carseat).

Bring an umbrella stroller and always use a car seat people drive horribly!

We took S's baby carrier and chunky stroller bc her carrier snapped into it. We checked the stroller at the gate and it didn't get a scratch. Then you can use the carrier in the taxi too

We don't take car seats. Just hold our kids in the taxi from the airport then walk everywhere. I know most people don't feel comfortable with that but that's what we do. It's really your comfort level. Most states have laws exempting taxis from car seat laws. Have you checked to see if the hotel has a shuttle? Some of them have shuttles that aren't free but the fee is comparable to a taxi and it's safer with no car seat. I would do the umbrella stroller.
