So my nurse called today and told me that my RE wants me to get another saline sono before we cycle again. She said my lining never changed from a type 3 during our first medicated cycle and they want see if they can figure out why. She said during my initial testing it was a type 1 (which I guess is what they want?), so they don't know why it stayed type 3 during the treatment cycle.
I practically fell over when I heard the words saline sono. My first one was HORRIBLE. The NP said she usually never has patients have as bad of an experience as I did, so if I'm going to get another one I want to really make sure I need it.
Ok so my question(s), what is lining type referring to? Is type 1 the best and why? I tried to ask my nurse and she really couldn't explain it, she just said my thickness was perfect it's just the type that the RE is worried about. I have not yet asked Dr. Google for his explanation, I thought I'd try the far more helpful ladies on TB. TIA!

@rumbera28 I asked the same thing, about what new info they hope to gain from doing this again when I only had it done 3 1/2 months ago. I don't think the Dr. really knows what she hopes to find, she just feels that they need to look again and make sure they didn't miss something.
Sigh....this process is just so sad and frustrating.
