Please teach me to use Pinterest

I have heard a lot about people using Pinterest to keep track of online recipes and such. I really would like to give this a try, so I created an account and have NO IDEA how to use it. Can you help a girl out? Any tips or instructions to share?

You can also add a "Pin it" button to your bookmark toolbar so if you're on any website outside of Pinterest and see something pin-able, you can add it.

Damnit. I've scaled back my pinning a bit and now I've got the itch.

I suggest if you are going to use it for recipes you make different boards for categories (baking, healthy dinners, party food, etc.) I didn't when I started, now to get to some old dinner recipes I have to scroll through a million cupcake recipes
