What on earth is this pain?!

I apologize if this has been asked before, or numerous times for that matter. That being said, has anyone had intense to severe abdominal pain that starts on your left side and extends through your lower abdomin and back? I'm 23 weeks and have experienced round ligament pain all along, but this seems more intense and last for several minutes and just started this week. Just hoping someone out there has some wisdom for how to coupe :) trying not to call the dr if it's not necessary and baby boy is just growing as usual.

    When was your last BM?  I had intense pain on my left side last weekend, realized I hadn't had a BM in a day and a half.  It eventually worked it's way out. I have heard that during pregnancy you can have gas/constipation pains that are so strong you will think you need to go to the ER.

    24 weeks here and I have def been feeling some crazy abdominal pain on my left side. I've decided that it's my uterus stretching and crushing my organs. Mine weren't a doubling over type of pain so I wasn't too worried but it did get me thinking. I spoke with my doctor last appointment about abdominal pains and when to be concerned and she told me really not to worry because there are so many different types of abdominal pains that will start to occur between weeks 18-26 because of babies growth spurts. I think if they get to the point where your doubling over you should either call your doc or go to the er. Also, I have half a cup of coffee every morning and that def helps my BM's!
