  I regret not getting the artsy fartsy ones taken when they were newborns....but, I'm thinking about doing cute ones for the baby's 6 3/4 mo ones.....yea, I procrastinated on the 6 mo pics. I actually wanted to wait until she could sit up completely on her own and her oversized head didn't cause her to topple!

  I do my own. I'm not a professional by any means (I don't want to take away from what they do) but I have a good DSLR that I'm learning to use so I'd rather do them myself.

  My good friend who is a professional photographer for weddings did his pictures in the hospital and will be doing his 6 month pictures

  I have taken pictures professionally so I take my own. We will be getting someone to do family ones coming up though.

  Haven't gotten any yet, but I need to schedule a 7 month photo shoot with the fam. I've procrastinated on the 6 mo ones, but it will probably be better when she can really sit up well on her own, anyways.

  I have a nice camera, so I've just taken my own.  I would have loved professional ones, but they are just SO expensive, I couldn't do it.  I think I will spring for some family shots in the fall once it cools down a bit.  It's so hot right now, I don't want us all to be a sweaty mess in our photos.

  This exactly. The photographer we found has a big studio that we went to. We did newborn, 4 month we are skipping the 8 month one but going to get his 1 year photos with her.

  I had some newborn ones taken at home. DD was almost 2 weeks so she wasn't super cooperative but I love what we did get. I didn't do them with DS and really regret it. We just did 6 month pics at a local park with the same girl that did the newborn ones.

  Went to a professional for newborn and had family do some for 6 months. I loved them both! Will probably go to the professional again for some 1st bday stuff.

  Going soon to the photographer. Teachers at school paid for a groupon session. Now I wish I did newborn but things were so crazy at the hospital. The photographer recommended waiting until she could sit up on her own.

  5/12/2013 SURPRISE BFP! Natural cycle 

  7/11/2013 Panorama results Normal!!! Team Pink, partial previa moved up in 2nd tri9/5/13 (19w) AS scan shows short cervix, 2.5 cm 9/19 (21w)  Cervix is worse 1.87cm, bed rest 10/26 & 10/27 steroid shots 12/19 (35w) DX: SGA Baby went from 57% percentile to 18th percentile in 6 weeks. Weekly BPP and NST until she is here. 1/17/18 Growth scan puts Abby below 10th percent in size, low amniotic fluid, and less movement. Time to induce!

  We bought a nice Nikon camera after baby girl was born. I used it to take some 6 mo. shots and was pleasantly surprised with my results. Sure beats paying the ridiculous amount of money some photographers charge.

  We've used the same photographer for all of our professional pictures, starting with our wedding. She's come to our home before (for newborn shoots for both boys plus DS1's 1 year pictures) and we've also met her at a specified location as well. I love working with her!

  I wanted newborn pics but I was not feeling it when she was born then she got terrible acne so we ended up having the same person that took some maternity pics for us come to the house around two months to have some done. I have a good camera and love taking pictures so I do my own otherwise. I'd like to get some family pics done but will probably wait til next summer.

  We paid for newborn pictures, but for the 4 month ones I just went to Walmart.  I was planning on going to Walmart again for 6 month ones, but we ended up doing family pics that my sister took (she's not a photographer) on our DSLR and there's a really cute one of each of the kids that will count as their pictures. DH used to do landscape photography but doesn't have time anymore, but it's sure nice to have a DSLR.

  My husband has some photography experience from college so we got ourselves a DSLR for Christmas last year. We managed to get a couple really nice newborn pictures and have been doing monthly pictures. I'm enjoying taking pictures as well but really don't know anything about the different settings.

  @tarajeanette I think that is really shitty of her and I'm sorry she blew you off like that. I agree with @TheGreatBeyond And she should have sent you the raw images.
