AW: Egg retrieval and fetal echo

I had my egg retrieval yesterday (we did an IVF for future sibling while GC is carrying Squirt) and I got 15 eggs! With AMH of 0.3 and AFC of only 3, we are thrilled!

MH also got to see Squirt yesterday at our fetal echo (I had to stay home in a Vicodin-induced haze) and everything looks perfect! Squirt is measuring about a week ahead and weights 1 lb. 13 oz.!

Does anyone know anything about measuring ahead? Our GC easily passed her initial GD screen.

Anyways, a lot of good news yesterday!

Update: Fert report had 13 mature, 11 fertilized! Now we just wait to see what makes it to freeze!

    Hot damn to 13 retrieved and 11 Fert!!! That is impressive with your stats!!! I certainly never got anything even close to that!!!! Glad the LO is doing well--- no info on measuring ahead....

    April 2012=IVF#1- EPP Antag+ICSI, 2R,0F (BFN), Now dx’d with DOR.

    June-July 2012=IVF#2- MDL+ICSI&AH, 8R,4M,3F (BFP 9dp3dt) Beta#1 at 11dp3dt=36, Beta#2 at 15dp3dt=156, Beta#3 at 19dp3dt=671, dx'd with SCH, no growth-m/c at 7wks/Lap Dec 2012 to remove small fibroid.

    Feb 2013=IVF#3-MDL, 2/1=baseline, started 10 units mdl, AFC-7, 2/3 start gonal f, self cxld cycle b/c of low e2.

    April 2013=IVF#3.5-(with new RE)AG/ANT Conv + ICSI. 4/10-4/23 bcp's, 4/20-4/27 lupron, 4/28-ganirelix until end of stimming, 5/2-600 gonal f, 5/4-add 1/2 vial menopur, 5/13-ER (9R,1M,1F), 5/17-ET, 1 beautiful 8 cell (please be my sticky baby!!!!) 5/28-BFFN.

    Oct 2013=IVF#4-LLP+ICSI &AH, 10/14 (6R, 2M, 2F), 10/17-ET, 1 seven cell & a six cell, BFP at 9dp3dt, 1st beta=56, 2nd beta=52, CP.

    Jan 2014=IVF #5-LLP, Cxld after 6 days of stims due to fast response and lead follicle. 

    March 2014=IVF 5.5-LLP, Lupron 3/10, BL 3/18, 11 days of stims, Trigger 3/29, ER 3/31. 7R, 2M, 2F. ET 4/3. Txfd one 5 cell & one 9 cell. BFP on hpt from 7dp3dt & on. Praise be to God. Beta #1 at 11dp3dt=106, #2 at 13dp3dt=239. First u/s 4/28, measuring on track & heartbeat seen. 5/5-2nd u/s, measuring on track with strong heartbeat. 5/12- 3rd u/s & released from RE. Grow baby grow, we love you! Baby G&T is a BOY! Born 12/2014 via c/s! 8lbs, 8oz & 21 inches.

    Wow nice number of eggs! I hope all 13 continue to grow.

    As far as measuring ahead, DS did. He was about 2 wks ahead in the different categories while I was pg with him. He did end up being a big baby, 8lb 15oz at birth. He was 21 inches long but he also was born at 40w2d, so he was full term.
    Diagnosed MFI- low sperm count  
    DS-Born 7/27/11 After 2 years of IF we have our little man
    TTC#2 January 2013
    11 Medicated cycles gave us
    B/G Twins born 10/8/14 @ 32 weeks

    Great numbers!! That's awesome! And congrats on a great scan.

    DS measured ahead at several of our scans and was born at 39w5d weighing 8 lbs 11oz and 19.5 inches long. I've always heard that the earliest measurements are the most accurate because it gets more difficult to measure as they take more space. I wouldn't have any concerns... Some babies just measure ahead :)

    As far as measuring ahead at this stage, as long as it isn't like 3 weeks ahead, it usually isn't a problem.  Some babies just start to be bigger than others after 20 weeks.  And ultrasounds get less accurate as far as estimating size/weight.  Hooray for good results!

    We figured why wait on doing our last IVF covered by insurance with numbers like I have? This way I can be DONE with it all before Squirt arrives.

    My protocol was BCP/lupron (10 u) overlap, 12 days of stims with 3 bravelle/3 menopur daily for the duration. I stayed at 10  u lupron. My E2 was 3600 three days before retrieval and P4 was 0.6. It was a lot of drugs but I am so happy with our egg haul!

    FYI, my doc tried to do no suppression (ganirelix was the plan) but I responded terribly, so we cancelled that cycle.

    Congratulations!!! That's great news on both accounts.

    I don't think measuring ahead is a problem. Mine has been measuring ahead since our 6 week ultrasound (we're at 33 weeks and still measuring ahead). My doctor has said a few times that everything is an estimate, the measurements may also show bigger in one ultrasound view than another, and has made mention to my husband being a bigger than average guy and that it makes sense to have a baby measuring big.

    Funny story... At our 32 week scan, the baby was measuring 33 weeks in all body parts EXCEPT the head, which he was measuring at 35 weeks. I was nervous and asked if anything could be wrong with the head measuring 2 weeks bigger than his body. He responded by pointing to my husband and saying, "well, look at his head. What did you expect?" LOL
    Me (31) - PCOS with insulin resistance

    4 rounds of Clomid = no response
    IVF # 1 - ET (1 3AA, 4 frosties): 12/22 = BFP
    EDD: 9/9/2014

    Holy smokes!!! That is an amazing number! Congrats sounds like your ovaries are looking to give squirt a bro or sis!! I am very happy for you. And Squirt is getting pretty big, I don't know anything about measuring ahead but sounds like you have a lot to be thankful for.. Now rest up and hopefully you'll have a more relaxing week. So so happy for you!

    Awesome collection!! That's great that you could take advantage of the insurance coverage, too! As far as measuring ahead, margin of error in second tri is +/- 2 weeks in size, so don't worry about it. Like pp have said, probably just going to be a bigger than avg baby! Don't get too many newborn sizes, lol!

    Cancelled mid-cycle due to high P4 levels early on.
    OCPs again for IVF 2.5 mid-March. IVF 2.5 transferred two "gorgeous" 5-day blasts and BFFN. Even REI is baffled
    On indefinite hold until a huge stroke of serendipity led me to IVF 3 May 2014
    Testing found positive cardiolipins/APS, now on lovenox and intralipid infusions
    Transfer of 2 5-day blasts and (FINALLY) BFFP!! 1st ultrasound shows two sacs and two HB, but one is sluggish, almost expecting vanishing twin Subsequent ultrasound confirmed vanishing twin, but my other Little critter looks fantastic!
