Cradle cap in eyebrows

I know we've had cradle cap threads, but what do you do when it's so close to their eyes? Coconut oil? Velociraptor all-purpose ointment? Bleach them like an Oompa Loompa? TIA

Re: Cradle cap in eyebrows

  • For the hair, I was told olive oil for an hour and then rub with a clean tooth brush. Of imagine that would be gentle enough for the eyebrows.

  • My LO has it in her eyebrows, too! I've been afraid to do anything to it, since my nurses told me not to use anything other than water on her face. Also, it doesn't seem to irritate her at all, and I read that it should go away on it's own if left untreated.

I've just been massaging his eyebrow area with a warm washcloth once or twice a day and it's almost cleared up. It's been there for about a week.
I do this too... usually while I'm nursing, so he doesn't fuss about it.  It's still there, but it's definitely getting better.

  • I give the brows a gentle scratch with my nail while in the bath and the skin is nice and soft. No soap.
  • Warm washcloth +1
  • Ditto the warm wash cloth. I just make it part of bath time each night.

  • I just washed her face with water and wash cloth (as the pediatrician advised).  It cleared up on its own in a very short time, like less than a week.
