With DS at 7 1/2 to 8 months with DD at 14 weeks maybe and As soon as I go buy some this time around. I gave all my old one to a battered women's shelter back in March thinking with the IUD I wouldn't get pregnant anytime soon.
With my last pregnancy, I started wearing maternity clothes around 12w. I thought I was so huge back then...I feel so silly about it now. With this pregnancy, I've been sporting maternity wear the whole time- I didn't get enough time to lose the PP weight before getting pregnant again.
Looking back, I wish I would've waited to bust out the maternity clothing. There's so much time for maternity clothes, and I missed (and still do) my pre-pregnancy clothes.
Between 14-20 weeks depending on which pregnancy it was. My first I waited 'til 20 weeks. By my third, 14 weeks. With this one, I'll switch over when I'm feeling uncomfortable.
Funny you ask...I just hit up Motherhood today because my pants are tight with all the bloat I have going on so I got two belly sleeve and since maternity shirts are longer I got a couple of those too. Since I know what size to get now I will probably by some on eBay after my appointment. This sleeve with unbuttoned pants is the best
I have my old maternity wear handy for anytime but a lot of my clothes right now will work for awhile. I wear a lot of maxi skirts and I got some cozy capris at gap that have a stretch waist but you would never know looking at them. I have been in transitional clothes because I knew I would need maternity clothes.
I'll be 6 weeks tmrw, but this is my permission to stop holding in my tummy. So I've broken out my blousier tops. Wore my slacks unbuttoned and unzipped and pulled my tank top down like a ghetto belly band. First pregnancy I didn't sport maternity wear till close to 16 weeks.
already wearing my maternity yoga pants! one benefit of having #2 is that I don't have to wonder when "it's okay" to buy the clothes - I just have to pull them out of the closet. I'll probably hold off on my maternity jeans for awhile, though I do love them so much.

I wore maternity jeans by 8wks with DS. My bloat was awful. I wasn't working at the time so I was able to avoid buying work clothes. We also lived in FL and my casual dresses had enough room to fit my belly until I gave birth (lots of cotton Old Navy dresses). I'm pretty sure I won't be as lucky this time since I work in a business casual environment. I wear a lot of dresses now so the bloat isn't as noticeable, heh. As soon as I am uncomfortable in my work dresses, I will buy some maternity ones. Hopefully I can wait until I am 14wks or so when I plan to tell the office.
I owned one pair of maternity jeans , one blk maternity dress & a Bella Band I wore regular clothes my whole pregnancy ... Lots of leggings and knits tops , tanks w cardigans all non maternity It was great!! I'm not against maternity clothes but I am also a good shopper and I didn't gain too much weight. Plan to so the same this time around if possible!
Last pregnancy I really only ha a few pieces I got around 7 months maybe. I pretty much fit all my pre-pregnancy close till the end and maternity clothes can get expensive so I didn't feel the need. Who knows this time around, but its too hot for the pants and they're too big now, but I don't think I ever stopped wearing the few tops I had since they're mostly tanks and easy to nurse in
I was about 20 weeks last time. I remember when I put on maternity pants for the first time, holy moly were they comfy! I was sort of mad at all the moms for keeping them to themselves. Ha!
I broke down an started with the band last week. We are going on vacation this week but I'm not about to buy summer maternity pants so I was feeling pretty desperate and much to my surprise, my old maternity pants fit me. I just assumed they wouldn't since I'm heavier this time around.
I think I started wearing maternity clothes at around 14 weeks last time, but it was mainly bc I had already gained too much weight my clothes didn't fit. Hoping to avoid that this time around- if I need mat clothes I want it to be bc my belly started popping :-). The weight gain issue is so stressful for me.
I'm only 7 wks and I'm already using the rubber band trick on my regular jeans, gotta love the bloat. This will be my 3rd and I honestly don't see the point in being uncomfortable, so I will probably be switching over to mat in a few weeks.
With my first, I gained so much weight so quickly that I had to wear maternity pants by like 8 weeks. I literally gained close to 20lbs in the first tri. With my second I want to say it was closer to 16 weeks for pants.
I'm only 4 weeks, so obviously everything is the same size on me now.
With the way a lot of my work tops are cut, kind of blousy, I think I'll be able to wear them for a while.
Pants are what I'm worried about later on. I know I'll be nothing but bloat for a long time before technically showing, so I think my pants will survive that.
