So today we had friends over for a playdate with Reese. Their DD is two years older then Reese. Anyway, we brought in lunch from Surf Taco. They were here from about 11-4pm. But mid-day, their daughter was actively looking for "snacks" to eat---and then we realize that we just don't have any at all. I mean, we have food--but just never "buy" snacks. When Reese wants a snack it is typically fruit, yogurt, carrot sticks or dry cereal. She isn't too big a fan of snack food, and I know if we have it DH and I just eat it all.
We finally sliced up a watermelon and the girls had watermelon, peaches and split a banana for a snack.
But do you have snack foods in your house? Even for other kids? (if you don't eat them). If other kids want a snack, what do you offer them?
Playdates are new for us. I feel like a novice.

For play dates, I usually bake a batch of muffins (always a hit) and serve fresh fruit.
