can babies get seizures in the womb?

i'm 28 weeks pregnant and at random times in the day my baby gets really active and i feel these really fast jabbing movements. could my baby be having seizures?

Re: can babies get seizures in the womb?

  • You are 28 weeks pregnant and in 3rd tri. Baby is running out of room, so you are going to feel jabs while baby is trying to get comfortable.

  • They have spasms because they're not very coordinated. Also could be hiccups.

This.  With my second, who was very active, sometimes my whole belly would shiver and shake.  It definitely felt like a seizure in there.  But the truth is, they don't really have much in the way of motor skills, so they're just kind of spastic when they're moving around.  :)
