  Thank you. We are on the fence because Ava is so popular. I've loved the name for so long and we finally get to use it. I typically pronounced it with a long A but thought it may get us away from the Ava popularity if it's pronounced Ave like avelanche. I appreciate the feedback, thank you.

  I would also pronounce it ava like avenue and Lynn. I agree with pp that I prefer Aveline. Either way though I wouldn't confuse it with Ava.

  I think I posted to you once, but I have an Avalyn, pronounced Ava-lyn. (We call her Ava mostly.) We get Av-uh-lin (like avalanche). Pretty name
