I am looking at either the Vera Bradley Weekender or Vera Bradley Vera tote in Bayou Blue as my diaper bag. Any thoughts? Has anyone ever tried either as as a diaper bag? :-/
I am using a large, zippered tote made from recycled parachutes. It has some pockets to put little things and enough space to bring everything I need. I'm all about using what you like and are comfortable with.
I plan on using my light over-sized bag I use now at work. It will fit everything! Doesn't have pockets really but I figure I can work around that with big zipered purses inside it.
My mom made mine; it's purple with flowers and stuff on it and looks like an oversized purse, like a "hobo" bag with lots of inner pockets and stuff. She'll be making a more "manly" one for DH to carry around.

I like both bags! The first looks like it has more pockets too. I was gifted a diaper bag but originally was thinking of just finding a large purse I really liked and adding a "purse organizer insert" if it didn't have enough pockets google it, there's so many options!
I have always preferred non diaper bag diaper bags. I haven't used the ones you're talking about, but I'll list a few of things I look for. I want the bag it's self to be light. I like a few pockets, but not so many that I'm hunting forever. I like a place to snap my keys. I like a long shoulder strap so I can put it across my body or over the double stroller handle. I like enough space to hold my cloth diapers without being so bulky I can't turn around with it on my shoulder.
I'm sure everyone likes different things in their bags...but those are the points I've found matter most to me.
