XP TTC after Miscarriage

How long did it take you to conceive after going through a miscarriage? I just had one at 9 weeks. We are ready to start trying again. My doctor said to wait 3 cycles.
I just went for my appointment today and had an ultrasound. My obgyn said that my ovary does look like it is producing an egg so I may be able to start ttc sooner than 3 months. XP

Hi - Popping out of lurk mode to say I also had a loss at around 9 weeks and I'm so sorry you're going through this now. My D&C was the last week of December and my dr advised waiting until I had one normal cycle, which happened right on schedule (counting the D&C as CD1). We tried again right away. I was using OPK's and tracking physical symptoms, so I was pretty confident that I was ovulating again despite my confidence being shaken in all other areas of this whole process. By late February, we were pleasantly surprised and more than a little terrified to be looking at another BFP.

Everybody is different and just like TTC under other circumstances, it can happen right away or it can take a while.

Hi there. So sorry for your loss. My MC was in December. We started trying right away, but it took my body until June to ovulate (and not until cycle day 30). Fortunately, I got my BFP on that cycle.

So sorry for your loss! Mine was at nine weeks with triplets, I had the D&C and we were told to wait two cycles. Definitely listen to your OB, if they suggested three cycles, the last thing you want to happen is to try and conceive before your healed and have another MC. At that point you could get the news that they want you to wait even longer. I was never so worried about getting pregnant again, but about my body being ready to support a new pregnancy. My last pregnancy I had a BO and d&c in April. I was told to wait 1 cycle then start trying again when I felt ready. We got pregnant after waiting the one cycle.

I miscarried in November and was pregnant again in April but we didn't start TTC until February due to waiting and testing.

Follow doc's advice always. I had a mc in Feb and was told to take March and April off, which I did. I took prenatals and iron to get my strength up too. Then I got pregnant in early June.
