painful letdown

Over the past couple weeks I've been experiencing painful letdown, both in the side DD is nursing from as well as the other side. I did some searching online and I don't think I have clear symptoms of either thrush or mastitis. I have a couple painful twinges in my breast here and there, but nothing constant or debilitating. My nipples do have some cracks in them, but not itchy or super painful. Is there something I'm missing that I should be looking for?

    I have painful letdowns just like you are describing and I have oversupply issues. I never had thrush or mastitis though so I can't compare. But when the pain hits, it sometimes can take my breath away but is over quickly. Then I leak, so breast pads come in handy.

    @AmyG - Hmmm, it doesn't hurt to the point where it feels like glass.  Hopefully it doesn't get that bad!  I guess I'll just keep an eye on any other potential symptoms, but for now I'm going to hope it's just OS issues...

    @Dzejmij912, I leak ALL the time -- I feel like I should buy stock in breast pads!
