November 2014 Moms

baby kicks....

If you haven't starting feeling kicks, I'm sorry I'm not trying to rub anything in, more wondering what everyone else is feeling. My little dude has been kicking since like 15 weeks, my doc said placenta is in the back of the uterus so I'm more likely to feel things harder. His kicks have been pretty hard but today they actually hurt! I'm only 25 and a half weeks I didn't expect anything painful lol  I'm over weight I didn't really expect to feel so much until the end of my pregnancy, but I guess weight doesn't really have much to do with it. Any one else got a soccer player already? This is my second so I know I'm suppose to feel thing sooner but my daughter was never this rowdy lol

Re: baby kicks....

  • I've only felt one strong kick! It almost knocked me over. I mentioned in another thread that I'm feeling kicks right under my boobs! Well, I have to lift up my boobs in order to see him kicking... Haha!

  • He likes to stay low in my pelvic, if I'm sitting straight up he will kick all over till I lay back some. He likes his room, I can't imagine when he is out and learns to move lol I can't imagine right under the boobs!
  • I just started getting kicks that are strong enough to feel on the outside. I have an anterior placenta, so it has taken a while longer.

My baby is tucked low and back. I feel movement quite often. Since he is low and back, it puts pressure on my bowels and causes gas and other discomfort in that area.  Not painful, but I don't like it.

  • Sj+cm131., I totally understand they annoyance of them being  low and causing gas, it's so embarrassing. Luckily mine are silent.. but sometimes not so well um rosy lol my SO thinks it's hilarious since I dint like to fart around him lol

Yes!  My little girl loves to stay low in my pelvic area.   It kills my bladder, cervix, uterus, etc.. I can't imagine how it's going to feel when she is bigger!!  She is already grounded when she gets here.  Haha ;)

I get the same thing.  Baby likes me to lean back.  Get kicked every time I lean forward.

  • I get some kicks sometimes that don't hurt, but they're uncomfortable, like an annoying muscle twitch...but of course, baby kicks aren't "annoying" lol I love feeling him or her even if it's not super pleasant :)

I could do without the kicks to the cervix, though...makes me feel like I have to pee.

  • I have probably had 3 kicks that were pretty hard - they've actually made me make a sound out loud they were so startling. And then they are over so quickly I almost feel like, "did that just happen!?" In the past couple days when things have been so mild, I'd die for one of those strong jabs right now!

  • I have an anterior placenta as well but have been feeling kicks and movement since about week 20 or 21 and DH could feel it from the outside at week 22. I got kicked really hard once that it definitely startled me and I dropped my phone. They don't hurt yet though. He likes to head butt or punch my bladder and he likes to kick me when I have my hand or arms resting in my tummy!

The low kicks are definitely not my favorites. I usually try to change position to dislodge LO out of there, with moderate success.  I don't feel like they are painful exactly, just uncomfortable especially when the lima bean starts up after one of my middle of the night bathroom trips :)

  • Mine come and go in phases.  Two days ago she was being a maniac and I could hardly catch my breath when she kicked.  That lasted a full 24 hours.  Now for the last two days I'm lucky if I get a flutter here and there.  I have to keep getting up and jumping around to get her to kick and make me feel better.  Haha.  It's like she wore herself out and is now resting up for the next round.

  • My little man loves to kick as hard as he can. He also rolls back and forth all the time as fast as he can, he's so hyper! He's also started to get into the habit of every morning taking a nice long stretch and pushing his whole body out with his legs so there will be a giant lump just under my belly button. I'll poke him but he doesn't move, it's actually a bit uncomfortable lol
  • I have an anterior placenta too, but she stretches out so much that I can feel the choreographed dance number on my cervix and her attempt at boxing up near my belly button.

I'm approaching 22 weeks, and there have only been two 'woah' kicks so far, both after a popcicle. She enjoys the orange flavour!

Nothing painful so far. Last night, my arm was resting against my belly and she kicked so hard my arm budged! Sheesh. It's always after dinner. :)

  • My baby girl can give some pretty good pops, but there was one in particular this week that was crazy hard!  I was in the middle of talking about a project with a coworker and as soon as she kicked I completely lost my thoughts and grabbed my belly.  It's amazing to me how strong she is at this point!

Me three!  I'm so happy that I started to feel movement at and above belly button level the past few days--maybe my poor bladder will get a break now!

This one and DD before him also both have one place that they continually kick or punch (it's the same spot for both of them--it must be how I carry babies). That one spot gets so tender!

Not painful, but I've definitely had a lot of powerful kicks, multiple times a day. It makes me wonder if my son kicked me like this, but I can't remember. What I distinctly remember about my last pregnancy is realizing "27 weeks = ALIEN BABY!" That was when baby was advanced enough to move around a lot, and still had plenty of room to do it. My son wasn't a frequent kicker, but a frequent mover. He'd move around and poke an elbow or leg out. I would literally push it back inwards the last 2 months or so. It's kind of exciting realizing I'm approaching that period again!

  • Yeah, my little dude is super kicky. And he is still breech, and kicking my cervix and bladder is still super fun to him. He also likes to stretch out and I feel all this pressure up high and soooo much pressure on my bladder. I can't believe I haven't peed myself from this yet. (Knock on wood.) He is big and strong enough that my stomach jumps when he kicks, and when he is switching sides, my belly ripples and moves with him. Sometimes his kicks hurt, with the cervix kicks being the most painful.

Same here.  My little girl is breech and kicking the heck out of my bladder.  When my bladder is full, the kicking starts.  I like to think she's in there going, "Mom, I need more room for activities!"  (If you've seen Step Brothers, you'll get that last line.)

  • I've been feeling kicks since about 14 weeks. Just this week his kicks have been so strong you can see my belly wiggle from the outside which is exciting, especially at only 22 weeks.
  • my little guy is breech and his head is high up near my rib cage which is putting pressure on an organ or something that really hurts! when i stand and walk around it's better but he really hates when i sit, it must be constricting his head space.

  • Me too. Tonight I finally saw from the outside. She's getting stronger.:)
  • I have an anterior placenta and feel movement throughout the day but nothing too crazy. My husband hasn't been able to feel her yet and only on a few occasions have I been able to feel her from the outside, but even then, it was faint.

  • I think my little guy is a black belt with all the kicks he does. He even kicked the doctor when she checked his heartbeat. I love feeling him but it can get annoying at 2am when I'm trying to sleep.
  • I've been getting really really strong kicks now it's to the point where I can't set anything on my belly without little man kicking it off ha ha! It's been super painful under my ribs already :/
  • I mainly feel little dude under belly button, he likes to stay low. But he does kick above if I'm laying down a lot. I'm sure you're little one will start kicking a bit higher soon enough.then into your ribs and you will be wanting kicks lower again lol
