First day back after ML with #2

Can I just get like some virtual love or something? As I sit here pumping (by the way took forever to get a letdown because I am so frazzled, which made me more frazzled about the absence of said letdown), I realize I hate everything right now. Eesh. I know we've all BTDT, but would love some support if you can spare any.

As a person who is trying to sit here and pump, I feel ya and am sending internet hugs your way!!

At least you have all your pump parts the first day! My first day back I forgot some part and had to go back home. As if pumping for the first time at work wasn't awkward enough.

I'm not sure if this is actually helpful or not, but the second baby killed me at first. I started to understand that 1 is none and 2 is 10 crap. It took a little while for us to all get in our groove and for me to not constantly feel like I was drowning, but it does eventually get easier! Hang in there it does get easier.

Agree that this time going back is somewhat harder...now I'm "abandoning" two kids all day instead of just one. Double mommy guilt. Double the effort/time to get out the door in the morning. Double the eagerness to leave. Gah!

I just remembered that my first day back from ML after #2, I had to work 12 days straight, including over a holiday weekend. And I was supposed to work 10 hours per day. I *may* have fudged my hours a bit, and I *may* have taken a nap or two at work.

I just started back myself. Last week was our first week of two kids in daycare. The morning is tough since DH is gone to work early but the key is to keep moving and to have as much gathered by the door as possible. I actually have a little list to review next to my keys. After a rough day you just have to brush it off and figure out how to prevent it for next time. After two kids crying in the car I bought a wubanub to keep the pacifier in DS #2 and stowed a pair of sunglasses in the car so that the morning sun doesn't terrorize DS #1. I think you keep living and learning. Pumping sucks but I've bought a nice pumping bra so I can read a magazine or pump and try to think of it as a break. I find it helps to visualize the milk flowing out as weird as that sounds. Also I calculate how much longer I am to my one year goal, 17.5% of the way there already which makes me feel like I am getting closer to being done pumping. I figure once we start sleeping better I will be willing to wake up earlier to get things going which will make it all work better so just holding on until then. *hugs* I feel ya!

My mom always told me that when you start something new (new job, new baby, etc.), the first 3 weeks can be hell. Them all of a sudden everything just clicks. I'm currently in the struggle of adjusting to having 2 kids. Things are just now starting to click. It will happen!
