Trying to Get Pregnant

Good morning ladies!

Hello from sunny florida!!
My name is Caitlin, I'm 25 and engaged. My fiancé and I have been ttc for almost a year and a half! I have PCOS, so af is far and few between. Lol
We've tried clomid and no response! But my hopes always stay high!
I'm obviously new and I wanted to introduce myself!
Wishing baby dust to you all!

  • Oh, my.

    Welcome.

  • Ah! I'm sincerely sorry for that! :/

And no, my gyn is an amazing doctor and she hasn't felt any need for me to see a specialist just yet.

    Welcome!

    Proudly on the dark side

  • She is very closely. We've recently taken a break from it. I haven't had an HSG and we've had him tested and he's fine. My ute is very thin, already and we know thinning of the ute is a side effect. She does an ultrasound just about every time I see her.
  • She and I have discussed seeing a specialist. She isn't opposed to the idea, she just has high hopes that we can do this without one. She's one of the leading gyn's in the area. And as weird as it sound, I trust her.
  • I got and see her next week, so I will have to bring that up and see what we can do!!

While you may like her as a doctor, an OB/GYN's job is to keep you pregnant and be there for your pregnancy. An RE helps you get pregnant. There are certain things that a GYN can and should not do. I'm glad she seems to be monitoring you, but just keep in that in mind.

I definitely will! I'm not entirely sure if my insurance will cover a specialist however. It was like fighting tooth and nail for them to cover clomid. They don't seem to thing that infertility or having issues getting pregnant is a medical need.

Welcome. Are you seeing an RE with the Clomid?

Please no baby dust. It is offensive to loss moms who have had to cremate their infants.

I am not trying to start a debate or anything, i just find it ironic. I have seen posters asked not to use baby dust several times. I just find it ironic that 6yrs ago when I was on the loss boards we used the phrase all the time. And now its frowned upon. Not sure how it came about not to say it, but at the time no body had found it offensive.

Come to think of it we used "sticky" in front of it alot. Maybe thats the difference. Unless it came about after I left July '09 and before you lurked in '10
