Discharge...ewww....

Hello fellow mommies!
I'm a FTM and 18 weeks along and it seems that this week has brought a lot of.... ahem... unpleasantness. Is anyone else noticing extra discharge this week? Or am I the only one who wishes she could change her undies out for some fresh ones?

Re: Discharge...ewww....

  • I've been having a lot of it too. It happens. Just wipe a lot.

  • Been having throughout, just wipe well and maybe wear a panty liner. Totally normal unless it smells unpleasant or is tinged with color

My new rule is if you are concerned enough to post a medical related question here be sure to call your doctor. Never hurts to check...trust me on this one. ;)

In the meantime, maybe you want to pick up some panty liners.

  • Get used to it. It only increases. I bought a 98 pack of liners lady night, that box should last me a whole week.

  • Yep, definitely normal and in the same boat.

If you think that's bad, just wait until you start losing your mucus plug!! :)

  • I'm at 18 weeks too but I didn't see any change. But it says you should see increase in discharge so it is normal. Be sure to contact your doc if it has strong odor; it could be an infection.( just read about it) hehe
  • I have definitely had an increase in week 18 and 19.

Ugggghhhhh I never knew when mine left bc my labor started with major blood clots passing...that was fun! I stuffed a hand towel down my pants lol.

And this discharge is nothing compared to post partum. It all sucks lol

  • I have a pocket in my purse dedicated to an extra pair of undies. I'm not a huge fan of the liners myself, I'm always worried it'll make me more susceptible to a UTI or something. Regardless, I have stocked up on those too. I'd still recommend hiding extra undies somewhere. Maybe one in the glove compartment (extra fun if you get pulled over, right?), one in a discreet bag at work, something in the purse, etc.

Nope, I am 20 weeks and have not experienced too much increase... yet. I am sure I will be joining you ladies soon in that department!

  • I swear I thought my amniotic fluid was leaking and turned out to be pee pee leaking when i laughed too hard or had to go bad in the morning. DH thought I was crazy because I freaked out so much but thankfully it turned out to be normal.
  • Sweetspot Labs has great on-the-go wipettes. My waxer had a ton for customers to try. Totally brilliant for middays you just feel ick.
