Engagement meeting questions

We have he engagement meeting on Monday ( so excited). I heard we ask questions and maybe fill out an application. What are good questions to be armed with? I'm looking into either foster to adopt or adopting from foster care

    It was a good meeting. One question - on the application they ask for a reference from a 'neighbor in the last 6 months'. Do they need a literal next-door-neighbor? We are barely on a first name basis so I feel this may not be a great choice. We do, however, have somewhat family friends on the next steet over... Does that count?

    I hate the neighbor referral. Our agency didn't require one. I think perhaps if it's a "neighbor" your friends around the block would be fine. But if you really want to be sure---ask. I live in a large urban area...people barely stick around for 6 months at a time and I don't know more than one person who lives near me.
