Chicken pox??!!

So DD started running a fever on Sunday, about 103. It's been on and off, today down to 99. Last night I noticed a little rash behind her legs. I didn't really think anything of it because she has excema there at times (has a small spot on the top of her arm too). Today I got home from work (mil was babysitting) and her legs are covered, and her elbows. I see lots of spots where they are starting to pop up.

Poor baby. I will take her in tomorrow morning. I've not seen a toddler have them this early. After I call her pedi I have to call my OB to make sure there is nothing special I need to do being pregnant.

That sounds exactly like HFM. DD had it a few weeks ago and it sounds exactly like what you are describing.

I looked it up, I've never came in contact with any kids that have had it. It does sound like it. The sores are all over at this point. Either way the poor baby is miserable. Is there anything to do for HFM, to help them not feel so uncomfortable? The pedi's office opens at 8 so they will be getting a call at 8:01.

I was thinking Roseola if it's a rash. DS had that a few ago - fever followed by a rash.

My ds had chicken px at 13 months. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Is she itching?

Doc said not chicken pox, but also not hand foot mouth. She didn't really know what it was since the bumps were raised not flat like other rashes. Weird. They look really painful but DD doesn't seem to be bothered. A lot have started to crust over so know we just let it run it's course.
